Is it the best? No. For the price, it's pretty unbeatable though.

Under 200k for a genuine 400cc bike from Kawasaki? Whats not to like? I see loads of reviews praising this bike for its power, looks, ability and so on, so just wanted to add here. Listen, for the money it's a fantastic bike. It is heavy at 182kgs wet for a 400. Turning circle is not the best. The engine is either a blessing or an expensive service in the future given that it's the same unit from the 390 Duke. Conversely the Yamaha MT-03 will run rings around you in any situation given its lower weight and more nimble nature with perhaps the exception of touring. The engine power is adequate if unexciting. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is also true. Will this still be on the road and running well in 8 years after 40,000km - debatable. BUT, for under 200k it's very very difficult to overlook.

Its a pretty much generic design, neither ugly nor beautiful - functional would probably best describe it for me. Does it look, good - yeah, a bit. Does it make me turn round to look when walking away after parking it? No, it doesn't.

Again, a typical naked/tourer type bike, so no issues on that - seat would maybe benefit from an upgrade, but thats a personal feeling anyway.

Average for the class. It's weight works against it as 182kgs is pretty heavy for an entry level bike like this. Is 182kgs heavy for a bike? No it's not, but it is when that bike only has 34hp the weight works against it. For example it has the same engine as the Duke 390 but weighs 30kgs more. 30kgs is a massive amount in the world of motorcycles.

Dual channel ABS - if this country was serious about riders safety they should insist that if a model has ABS as an option, then it must be the model sold, particularly in a country where the majority of riders until now have had little to no training on how to ride properly.
