CT100 Overview

The Kawasaki CT100 falls on the category of commuter bikes, from the Japanese brand, whose sole purpose is to take care of the rider’s convenience. With a 100cc engine powering it, the bike performs surprisingly well on the roads. The CT series of the brand, itself is very efficient, but the CT100 is the most fuel efficient bike in this series, giving the owners and riders a serious advantage.

The bike features a very strong built, which makes it apt for carrying some extra weight and luggage. It fuels a 99.27cc engine, which, with the help of a smooth transmission, zooms through the city streets, but being fuel efficient at the same time. The engine and a lot of other features, make it stand strong with the competition.

Kawasaki CT100 Design

The Kawasaki CT100, being a commuter bike, tries to serve graphics and styling which are more basic and on the classic side. The bike is quite small and compact, and with its curvaceous looks, appears very classy and reflects its powerful functioning. The multi-reflector headlamps, being very efficient, give the front part a very proportionate look.

The square headlights and a stand-off turn signal serve the bike’s simplicity and give it the perfect elegance of the commuter section. The chrome works on the engine, exhaust pipe, and the front suspension add to the classiness and match the contrast of the bike’s colours. The CT100 does not attempt to offer any sportiness with its looks, but still rocks the city streets with its basic qualities.

CT100 Ride & Handling

The Kawasaki CT100, a commuter bike on the block, does provide quite a controlled riding experience for the user and offers them with a very stable handling. It takes care of the rider’s handling and riding experiences with much attention given to all its features. The ground clearance, the wheelbase, and the seat height, all add up to giving the rider a very controlled grip over the bike.

The rear Coaxial adjustable shock absorbers and the dual coil springs offer a very stable ride on the most difficult roads with increased stroke length. The CT100 is a very small, lightweight, and compact bike, something that is easy to take on busy traffic or alleys.

Kawasaki CT100 Engine & Fuel Consumption

The power plant of the Kawasaki CT100 is a 99.27cc four-stroke, four-valve SOHC engine, which enables the bike to be as much fuel efficient and decently power at the same time. To be precise, the bike generates a maximum power of 8.08 hp at 7,500 rpm and generates a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 5,500 rpm. This packs a good deal of power in a commuter bike, for all its requirements on all kinds of roads.

The transmission on the CT100 is served by a 4-speed constant mesh gear assembly, which provides a very smooth shift through the gears at all speeds and riding conditions. However, from a commuter perspective, the riders expect a gear assembly for more convenience and control on the shifting ratios.

CT100 Braking & Safety

The Kawasaki CT100, being very efficient with power delivery and smooth at the transmission, also possesses a decent stopping power. For the safety of the rider, the bike does not offer very much but does come with a very worthy set of brakes, which have a decent enough bite if applied at the same time.

At great speeds, on wet roads and on uneven roads, the riders safety is assured with the help of 110 mm front and rear drum brakes. The CT100 offers a good grip with its tyres over all kinds of roads to prevent accidents and give the riders a complete control of the bike’s momentum in unfortunate situations.

Kawasaki CT100 Verdict

The Kawasaki CT100 is a commuter bike from the brand which has produced a great example in every parameter among bikes. This particular model and its performance have made a name for the CT series in the country. The bike lacks a few important features, which a lot of riders would expect, like the addition of disc brakes at least for the front.

The Kawasaki CT100 is a sleek looking beauty that does absolute justice to the 100cc segment. It is a great option for people who have limited usage from their bikes and stay mostly inside the city. The Kawasaki CT100 is one of the best bikes for daily commuting needs. I have been using it for many years now and it’s an almost zero maintenance vehicle. Even the spare parts are very cheap and you don’t have to drill a hole in your pocket. It offers good grip both on smooth and rough roads. But don’t expect Read More

I have been riding the Kawasaki CT100 for several years now and it has never let me down in any condition. The best thing about the bike is its mileage. I find it quite a tedious task to ride heavy weight bikes especially while commuting to office. Making your way in the dense traffic gets troublesome on such two wheelers. Thus, I was in search for a lightweight two wheeler this time with which I can reach to my destinations on time. Finally I opted for Kawasaki CT100. This bike Read More

I recently drove the CT100 and found it to be a great bike for city riding conditions. The 100cc engine of the Kawasaki CT100 produces 8.08bhp which is more than good in urban conditions. The motor is surprisingly frugal. Kawasaki claims that it returns around 90kmpl. But the bike offered me around 82kmpl in the city which is still the Read More

Nothing can beat efficiency if you are more like me, a daily commuter with little interest in having fun with a motorbike. I do have a 250cc bike but use the Kawasaki CT100 for commuting purposes and it has never disappointed me.
