Kawasaki KLX300SM

In terms of dimensions, the Kawasaki KLX300SM measures 2,115 mm in length, 790 mm in width, 1,135 mm in overall height, and 860 mm in seat height. This supermoto also has a wheelbase of 1,435 mm and a ground clearance of 235 mm.

The KLX300SM features a sporty, rugged design finished in monotone shades. It flaunts a new front cowl, which makes it look like a full-fledged enduro bike wherever it goes. It emits a bright flare through its slim, compact LED headlight. It also comes with a pair of conventional-looking signal lights for increased visibility, especially at night. And, to complete its front design, it gets a sharp beak and round mirrors, giving it a classic touch.

Up front, the rider gets an all-digital instrument panel that includes a digital speedometer, a bar-type tachometer, an odometer, dual trip meters, a clock, and an array of warning/indicator lamps. In addition, this supermoto comes with a thick urethane seat that offers a balance of cushioning and support. Its seat height, however, might be an issue for riders who are under 6 ft tall. On the plus side, it comes with rubber footrests for more comfortable low-speed filtering.

Going back to design. Its side profile is defined by a combination of aluminum features, blacked-out finishes, as well as sporty branding decals that blend well with its Battle Gray livery. This supermoto runs on a pair of 17-inch wheels wrapped in road tyres, which enhance its overall handling and styling. Meanwhile, its sharp rear is illuminated by a rectangular LED tail light and another pair of signal lights.

In terms of suspension, the Kawasaki KLX300SM comes with an Inverted Fork at the front and a Uni-Trak Swingarm at the rear. This supermoto handles sharp turns and challenging winding roads in the provinces with confidence and precision. Meanwhile, in the city, it is light and very nimble to maneuver even through tight traffic and narrow streets. It also offers great absorption on bumpy, uneven urban pavements and light off-road trails. Overall, the KLX300SM delivers a supple and very adaptable riding experience both on- and off-road (light).

The Kawasaki KLX300SM is powered by a 292cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power output of 26 hp and a maximum torque output of 24 Nm. This supermoto motorcycle comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The KLX300SM’s engine offers punchy yet non-intimidating power delivery. It can deliver a quick burst of power when you need it while remaining predictable even at high speeds. In the city, it delivers respectable fuel economy in mixed conditions. Heat at low speeds is also not a problem on this supermoto, thanks to its radiator fan cover. 

That said, this supermoto balances high-speed enjoyment with everyday rideability, making it a feasible mode of transportation for your daily commute and an even more enjoyable option for short leisure rides (considering its 7.5-L fuel tank capacity).

In terms of braking, the Kawasaki KLX300SM is equipped with a 300 mm semi-floating petal disc at the front and a 240 mm petal disc at the rear. Its braking setup delivers good, responsive stopping power even at high speeds. It also comes with an engine check warning for added safety and awareness at all times.
