MotorStar Nicess 110

The MotorStar Nicess 110 takes a very stylish approach to moped design. You might be forgiven for mistaking it for a Suzuki Raider 150 Fi. The similarity is uncanny. Everything from how the headlights extend back into the bikini fairing, the stance of the handlebars to the body panels and even the wheels seem to have been lifted off the grand daddy of all sporty underbone motorcycles. But this seems to have worked in the favor of the bike in a spectacular manner. Buyers and especially those who want to modify their rides, really like the empty canvas this provides them. The extended front apron, rear split grab handles and integrated indicators both front and rear are also features normally not found at this low price level. The bike is fairly long with a length of 1900 mm but with a low height of 970 mm and width of just 630 mm, it gets a low slung look. The company has released three color options for the Nicess 110. There is black, blue, and red with sporty graphics. There are 17” wheels on both ends which are 5 spoke alloys in Y shape. There is also a big disc brake on the front wheel. This collection of sporty parts does add a lot of weight and presence to what is otherwise a run of the mill underbone. The instrument display is analog as expected and uses two separate pods for housing a very optimistic speedometer and a fuel gauge.

The Nicess 110 uses conventional telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers in the rear. The handlebars are positioned low which forces the rider’s wrists very low while also stretching them quite forward. This riding position can become quite tiresome on longer rides but should be comfortable enough for short rides.

The engine powering the Nicess 110 is a 107cc air-cooled and a carbureted unit that produces peak power of 5.2 kW at 8000 rpm and peak torque of 6.8 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine idles at 1500 rpm. The bike weighs a lightweight 95 kg and is rated for a max load of 75 kg that allows it a top speed of over 80 kmph. The engine comes equipped with both a kick and an electric starter. There is a 4.2 L fuel tank that provides it with ample range thanks to decent mileage. The engine does tend to cause the bike to vibrate a lot but it can be fixed with some rubber washers.

The MotorStar Nicess 110 is equipped with a disc brake on the front and a drum brake for the rear.

For its price, the MotorStar Nicess 110 comes with great styling and a lot of features and equipment you normally won’t find at this price point. The bike has indeed become quite popular in its category and is especially liked by people who are into customizing their rides. The reliability issue is also reported to be few and fixable. A good option for anyone looking for a cheap and sporty underbone ride.
