Suzuki GSX S1000F Review 2025
Abhishek Katariya says
The Suzuki GSX-S1000F, as the name and overall looks of the motorcycle, is suggests, is essentially a fully-faired version of the flagship litre-class naked roadster from Suzuki, the GSX-S1000. Branded as a long-distance tourer, the Suzuki GSX-S1000F has been positioned between the GSX-S1000 and the liter-class supersport, the GSX-R1000 in Suzuki’s lineup of 1000cc motorcycles. In the Philippines, the Suzuki GSX-S1000F has been made available in three colour options of Metallic Triton Blue with Glass Sparkle Black, Glass Sparkle Black, and Pearl Glacier White.
Suzuki GSX S1000F Design
The overall appearance of the Suzuki GSX-S1000F is not as jaw-dropping as it should have been at the very first place for a litre-class motorcycle. The motorcycle has a polarized design for its frontal look, which might not look impressive to all. However, for its size, the Suzuki GSX-S1000F has a muscular stance, which does give it the much-needed big bike appeal.
As said above, the front profile of the Suzuki GSX-S1000F has a different looking full fairing, which accommodates a dual headlamp setup that is positioned at a lower height than usual. These headlamps are full halogen units and do not get any kind of LED treatment. Even the clear lens turn indicators flanking the headlamps on either side look outdated. However, what is definitely a praiseworthy addition at the front is the fully adjustable transparent windscreen at he the top of the fairing, which is very much useful for restricting wind blasts.
On the side, the Suzuki GSX-S1000F carries forward the full fairing design to partially cover the engine and make it look distinctive as compared to its naked sibling, the Suzuki GSX-S1000. The fairing blends well with the fuel tank and also accommodates an engine cowl at the bottom. The rest of the side profile of the motorcycle, including the fuel tank, side body panels, and 4-into-1 exhaust pipe has been retained from the Suzuki GSX-S1000. Even the tailpiece of the Suzuki GSX-S1000F has been shared with the naked roadster, with it ending up in a triangular LED tail lamp.
To suit its touring image, the Suzuki GSX-S1000F comes with a slightly high mounted single handlebar and a full LCD instrument console, both of which have again been shared with the Suzuki GSX-S1000 naked roadster. The console has all the right and required info on display, like speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, clock, instantaneous and average fuel consumption, and remaining range. However, given that the competition has moved to fancier TFT units, this console has begun to feel dated.
Rest assured, the Suzuki GSX-S1000F has the top-class build quality and fit and finish levels, given its premium positioning.
GSX S1000F Ride & Handling
Apart from the engine, the rest of the mechanical setup of the Suzuki GSX-S1000F too has been lifted off from the GSX-S1000. The entire setup shared includes a suspension combination of upside-down hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a linked type monoshock with aluminum swingarm at the rear. Also shared are the brakes – dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear.
Suzuki GSX S1000F Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Suzuki GSX-S1000F shares its powertrain with the naked GSX-S1000, and that too in the same state of tune. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the four-stroke, inline-four, liquid-cooled, 999cc engine of the Suzuki GSX-S1000F makes 152 PS at 11,300 rpm of maximum power output and 107.9 Nm at 9,400 rpm of maximum torque output. In a traditional Japanese manner, the engine feels refined and vibration-free across the entire range and has enough poke at both mid and higher rpms to make it feel stress-free for long-distance touring.
GSX S1000F Braking & Safety
Compared to other modern-day litre class offerings, the Suzuki GSX-S1000F comes with very limited availability of electronic riding aids. The list of safety features available in the motorcycle only includes a dual-channel ABS and three-level traction control.
Suzuki GSX S1000F Verdict
The Suzuki GSX-S1000F might not generate a common opinion on the way it looks, however, it has a generalized positive impression about the way it feels while riding. The refined motor and comfortable suspension setup make it one of the best liter-class sport-tourers available in the market right now.
