The Honda S2000 had a 2.0-liter VTEC engine paired witha six-speed close-ratio, manual transmission. On that note, we’re going to check out some awesome automobiles that graced the franchise — a fitting feature to celebrate the title’s upcoming anniversary.
1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 (2 Fast 2 Furious)
The fifth-generation Nissan Skyline has made a name for itself not only for appearing on the silver screen but also for dominating the race track.
According to Nissan Motor Corporation (information taken from its Nissan Heritage Collection page), the Skyline GT-R (BNR34) competed in the 1999 Japan GT Championship series. Driven by the E. Comas/S. Motoyama team, it scored points in all six rounds of the series.

In the movies, it was driven by protagonist Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) and sported a silver paint job with blue stripes.
He used it to compete in a street race hosted by Tej Parker (Ludacris), where he beat fellow drivers Suki (Devon Aoki), Slap Jack (Michael Ealy), and Orange Julius (Amaury Nolasco).
Its highlight was when it successfully made the jump on the bridge to secure the win.
1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS (The Fast and The Furious)
According to Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (information from the Mitsubishi Car History page), the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse was a second-generation model that shared the platform of the seventh-generation Galant. The model was notable for its “futuristic cab-forward design” coupled with “wide and low road-hugging proportions.”

Due to its sleek lines and proportions, it made for a good “hero car” for the franchise’s first outing. Driven by O’Connor, it helped him earn the street credentials he needs to establish his cover.
And yes, its where the famous “Danger to Manifold” scene took place.
2000 Honda S2000 (2 Fast 2 Furious)
Memorable was the 2000 Honda S2000 in the franchise’s second installment for two reasons: it wore a hot pink color and it was driven by Suki.
Much like O’Connor’s blue Skyline, the Honda S2000 also made the jump on the bridge, suffering some minor damages.

Per Honda’s United States arm (infomation from American Honda Motor Co., Inc website), the S2000 featured some notable appointments for the time, which included a high-rigidity “high X-bone frame,” in-wheel double wishbone suspension with gas-filled shock absorbers and front and rear stabilizer bars, as well as a 2.0-liter VTEC engine paired witha six-speed close-ratio, manual transmission.
To be honest, this car fits the character of what we can assume as an Asian enthusiasts like Suki.
1970 Dodge Charger RT (The Fast and The Furious, Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, F9, Fast X)
The Dodge Charger is a nameplate that has become synonymous with protagonist Dominic Toretto. It’s his Batmobile and has been his ride of choice in many of the franchise’s titles.
Arguably our favorite version is the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Toretto used in the first movie, which stood side by side with O’Connor’s orange 1994 Toyota Supra MK IV.

Stepping into the future of mobility Dodge (specs from Dodge website) has given the Charger nameplate an electrified powertrain, which pushes its performance figures to 670 horsepower with 850 Newton-meters. Should the producers pick up on the new electrified model, it will send Toretto from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.3 seconds with a quarter-mile speed 11.5 seconds.
