2020 Suzuki Vitara is here, starts at Php 1.038 million

MANILA: The crossovers and SUVs don't stop coming, do they? It is not as if the Suzuki Vitara become old or lagged in terms of features or powertrain, but in the times when other automakers are updating their crossover pretty much every year, the time was ripe for Suzuki to bring out a revisited model of the Vitara that was launched around two years ago. So, the time is just right for the Filipinos looking forward to getting themselves a brand-new B-segment crossover as Suzuki Philippines launches the facelifted 2020 Vitara in the country.

The updated crossover from the Japanese automaker has been tweaked inside-out and features an array of new features and creature comforts. Thanks to the updated, the battle in the segment is going to become more intense. Let's have a look at the changes that the new Vitara specs sheet boasts.

On the outside, the crossover now features a new front grille that incorporates six vertical slats, slightly tweaked LED headlights, new LED DRLs, and revamped housings for the front fog lamps. Also, Suzuki has put on a brand-new set of 16-/17-inch alloy wheels and a pair of fresh taillamps.

Moving inside the all-new Suzuki Vitara, we find the crossover's cabin flaunting soft-touch materials, bigger than before MID with HD graphics, sunroof, comfortable seating, automatic climate control, and steering mounted audio & cruise controls. The top of the line GLX model gets a ten-inch touchscreen system that comes with AM/FM radio, Aux, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity. Also, the infotainment system features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, smartphone mirroring, navigation, and Wi-Fi hotspot.

Powering the new Suzuki Vitara is the M16A 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated inline-four the engine that generates 115 PS of maximum power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 156 Nm at 4,400 revs. There is only one transmission option available, which is a six-speed automatic with manual select via paddle shifters.
