2026 Seaoil Radical Challenge PH to kick off in June

MANILA: The 2026 and fifth season of the Seaoil Radical Challenge Philippines will commence its first round in June. This time around, the said racing series now has a long-term partnership with the fuels and lubricants company Seaoil. 

For reference, here are the schedules and venues of the 2026 Seaoil Radical Challenge:

Seaoil-Radical strengthened partnership

As mentioned above, Seaoil and Radical Motorsports Philippines have taken their relationship to the next level. The two entities, beginning in 2026, have entered a long-term partnership - a move that is seen to heavily benefit local motorsport and local racers. 

Additionally, it highlights the capabilities of the Seaoil Extreme 97 fuel, which is utilized by both the Radical SR3 and SR1 race cars that are competing in the Seaoil Radical Challenge Philippines. 

“Our long-term partnership with Radical reinforces Seaoil’s commitment to innovation and excellence. We share a relentless pursuit of precision, integrity, and continuous improvement - the very foundations of world-class motorsport,” Seaoil President for Retail and Chief Financial Officer Mark Yu said. 

“As we stage the SEAOIL Radical Challenge Philippines in 2026, we are proud to power the competition with high-performance fuels engineered for the extreme demands of racing. Every lap calls for consistency, reliability, and peak output — and that is exactly what SEAOIL delivers,” Yu added. 

Apart from ensuring high-performance on the racetrack, the strengthened partnership between Radical Challenge Philippines and Seaoil is likewise a sign of the fuel company’s continued efforts to foster local racers. 

By working hand-in-hand, Radical and Seaoil fosters the skills of Filipino racers via “high level racing,” since the aforementioned series is considered as one of the fastest motorsports competitions in the local setting.

Radical SR3 and SR1: specs

For those curious, the Seaoil Radical Challenge Philippines is run in two different classes, each with two different Radical race cars. 

The entry-level class is the SR1 Challenge Cup, with vehicles using a 185-horsepower (hp) 1.3-liter inline-four engine. Compared to the lower-spec race, the SR3 Challenge Cup uses a more powerful 232-hp inline-four engine with a slightly larger 1.5-liter displacement. 

Both cars are open-cockpit, single-seat vehicles with a fully cowled fiberglass body built on a lightweight tubular spaceframe chassis. For reference, the Radical SR1 only weighs 510 kilograms (kg), while the SR2 tips the scale at 620 kg. 

The two Radical race cars use a sequential gearbox, a rear-wheel-drive layout, roll bars, and a lineup of FIA-certified safety gear.
