ACMobility, Shell opens 8 new EV charging hubs

MANILA: ACMobility, together with Shell Philippines, has opened a total of eight new electric vehicle (EV) charging hubs in strategic locations around the country.

ACMobility and Shell will open 50 more EV charging locations.As the Ayala-owned company shared, some of these new EV charging hubs are located on the northbound and southbound sides of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Mexico, Pampanga.
With these locations in mind, the said hubs get maximized accessibility for EV owners, especially those heading to La Union, Baguio City, and many other northern destinations. At the same time, these hubs are touted to provide seamless travel for EV users coming from the north heading to Metro Manila.
Moreover, the partnership has also established EV charging hubs in the province of Pangasinan and Zambales, as well as down south, specifically in Davao City.

“As we ramp up our efforts to build the Philippine EV Spine, we are grateful to have Shell as our partner in advancing the country towards sustainable mobility,” ACMobility Head of Mobility Infrastructure Carla Buencamino said.

Notably, the ACMobility and Shell partnership won’t end with the eight EV charging hubs listed above. In fact, the two companies are in the works to build a total of 50 charging locations at 50 Shell stations. This will result in a total of 100 charge points.
Per ACMobility, the ones that are set to open soon are located in Batangas, Bataan, and Cebu. These locations are scheduled for construction, although a target date is yet to be declared.
According to ACMobility, it has already established 200 charging locations across the country. All of these can be tracked and located via the Evro smartphone app, while payments can be done via GCash or credit card.
