Changan closes CDO dealership barely a year after being open

MANILA: The Changan dealership in Cagayan de Oro is now officially closed.

Based on its post over social media last October 18, the facility — which was opened around the same month last year — has been shut since late last month.

“It is with sincere gratitude and a heavy heart that we announce the official closure of Changan Cagayan de Oro effective September 30, 2025. As we bring this chapter to a close, we want to take a moment to thank those who made the journey meaningful, Changan Cagayan de Oro Facebook page announced.

“To our clients, partners, and the Changan community, thank you for your trust, support, and loyalty. You’ve allowed us to serve with purpose, and for that, we are deeply thankful. Every visit, every conversation, and every milestone we shared with you has meant so much to us,” it added.

Further, the company said that the last call for servicing is today. However, the firm said that it remains committed to its customers’ needs “until a new dealer or after-sales support is appointed.”

Considered as one of the marque’s biggest facilities outside Metro Manila, Changan Cagayan de Oro spans nearly 8,600 square meters.

The aforementioned establishment was created at about the same month last year following the partnership between the Inchcape-steered Changan Philippines and the Cebu-based Global Star Motor Corporation.
