MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s (IPC) has recently honored outstanding individuals that competed in the 20th Isuzu Service Skills Olympics (ISSO).

The 20th ISSO is themed,Aside from being a nationwide competition among its network (which is now in its 20th year), the event is also a platform for growth, learning, and continuous improvement to the marque’s dealerships in the country.
Per IPC, such a program ensures the delivery of quality aftersales service that come as one of the main factors behind the company’s status as the leading truck brand locally.
Themed "Honoring Skills, Gearing the Future," the 2025 ISSO highlights the firm commitment to recognizing the technical excellence of its aftersales teams and preparing them to meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry.
“This year’s theme could not be more fitting; We gather here to celebrate two decades of dedication and to inspire our aftersales dealer network to lead the next era of service excellence. Your skills and achievements reflect the global standards that Isuzu upholds. As competition intensifies with new players entering the market, it is not only the durability and reliability of our vehicles that will set us apart—but the exceptional service experience we provide,” newly-minted IPC President Mikio Tsukui was quoted as saying.
Categories, winners
Designed to test their technical know-how as well as customer service skills, teamwork, and critical thinking under pressure, this year’s event revolved around three main categories: Parts Staff, Service Advisor, and Service Technician.
Those who joined the Parts Staff Category showcased their proficiency in recognizing parts, understanding part specifications, and effectively navigating the Parts Business Online Portal — a tool in ensuring quick and accurate parts support to customers.
Meanwhile, participants in the Service Advisor Category were tested on how they follow the standard procedures in customer reception, assessing customer needs, explaining service recommendations, and providing professional and efficient service consultations.
Lastly, dealer representatives who took part in the Service Technician Category demonstrated their troubleshooting skills on actual Isuzu Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) and Commercial Vehicle (CV) models, showcasing their technical expertise, diagnostic accuracy, and ability to resolve complex vehicle issues under time constraints.
