Mercedes-Benz to add 2 PHEV models in PH lineup soon

MANILA: Mercedes Benz Philippines is set to expand its new energy vehicle lineup by introducing a pair of plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) soon.

To be formally revealed within the month, the Inchcape-led distributor shared that the two upcoming vehicles from the Three-Pointed Star marque are the Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e 4MATIC PHEV and E-Class E350e PHEV.

The aforementioned nameplates will join the firm’s luxury electrified nameplates such as:

EQA	EQB	EQE
EQE SUV	EQS	EQS SUV

In a statement, Mercedes-Benz Philippines expressed pride over the forthcoming introduction of PHEV models in its roster, saying that such technology “seamlessly blends electrification with unparalleled luxury and performance.”

“They achieve superior efficiency through advanced hybrid systems that enhance fuel economy and extend all-electric driving capabilities for daily commutes. By prioritizing electric drive, they significantly lower carbon dioxide emissions, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment. At the same time, dynamic performance is elevated through the instant torque of the electric motor, harmonizing with the combustion engine to offer a smooth, powerful, and responsive drive,” the company explained.

Further, the brand’s local arm added that its PHEV models “provide the convenience of flexible charging options and can cover extended distances (with their gasoline mills).

Additionally, those who will get it will benefit from government-provided tax incentives and exemptions from number coding.

“The launch of the PHEV models marks a pivotal step in our journey toward a more responsible, electrified future — without ever compromising the luxury, performance, and innovation that define the Mercedes-Benz experience. Designed for a new generation of drivers, the GLC 350e 4MATIC PHEV and E350e PHEV combine cutting-edge plug-in hybrid technology with the unmistakable refinement of the Three-Pointed Star,” the firm stated.
