MIAS 2023: ACDelco presents Dexos engine oil for turbo, diesel engines

MANILA: ACDelco Philippines presents its new Dexos Motor Oil at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2023. Dexos is the General Motors Corporation international standard for engine oils suitable for use in their ranges of fuel efficient, low-emission engines, the company said in a release.

The latest engine technology, including turbochargers, direct injection, and variable valve timing, are compatible with the ACDelco DEXOS1 Gen3 5W-30 motor oil. It helps to prolong the life of the engine and offers good protection against wear, deposits, and sludge on the engine.

Diesel motor oil like the ACDelco DEXOS2 is made to fulfill the most recent pollution regulations while also offering improved engine protection and fuel economy. Diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and turbochargers are just two of the engine technologies that DEXOS2 motor oil is made to function with. It helps to increase engine life and offers great protection against sludge, deposits, and engine wear.

Dexos oils were developed through additional testing that offers a reduction in piston deposits of up to 28% and a slight improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the API and ILSAC requirements, in addition to meeting the current American Petroleum Institute (API) and International Lubricants Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) requirements. According to studies, the Dexos oil can last up to 20,000 kilometers between changes.
