As of writing, the Tesla Plaid Pickleball Paddle is the only “Plaid” item listed on the official Tesla Philippines e-shop. Tesla Philippines currently offers only the Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck, making the Model S Plaid and X Plaid unavailable locally.Dubbed Tesla Plaid Pickleball Paddle by Selkirk, the racket is said to have been inspired by the aerodynamic design of Tesla vehicles and is a technologically advanced paddle co-created from the ground up through relentless testing and ideation.

Paddle specifications
Based on the listing, the paddle weighs anywhere from 7.8 to 8.1 ounces, placing it in the midweight category. It has an overall length of 16.4 inches, an overall width of 7.5 inches, and a thickness of 16 millimeters; with a grip circumference of 4.25 inches and a grip length of 5.35 inches.
According to the local arm of the American electric vehicle manufacturer, the surface material used for the Tesla Plaid Pickleball Paddle by Selkirk is made from InfiniGrit—Selkirk’s advanced paddle surface technology designed for both spin and durability.
Photo from Tesla PhilippinesDeveloped to address grit loss, InfiniGrit (during Selkirk’s lab tests) lasted roughly three times longer than raw carbon fiber paddles, which became nearly smooth after about 50 abrasive cycles.
On the other hand, the face material is Florek Carbon Fiber, while the core material used is PureFoam Core. The former is Selkirk’s proprietary carbon fiber blend designed for control, additional power capabilities, and an overall larger sweet spot. Meanwhile, the latter is a high-density foam with a core that resists crushing and deformation—also from Selkirk.
Per the Texas-headquartered company, the Tesla Plaid Pickleball Paddle by Selkirk is the result of a conversation Selkirk Co-Owner and Director of Research and Development Tom Barne, as well as Tesla’s Director of Product Design Javier Verdura, both of whom share a passion for quality and performance.
Photo from Tesla Philippines“Months of collaboration, research, and development generated a one-of-a-kind paddle designed to level up your game. Integrated weights, an edgeless design, and an open throat face come together to maximize swing aerodynamics,” the company wrote.
An order comprises the paddle and a bag. It costs P25,000.
