Metro Manila Celebrates 2018 Monster Day Philippines

MANILA: The smell of high-octane fuel, throaty growl and roar of engines, and a bunch of enthusiastic Ducatisti - this was the scenario at the 2018 Monster Day. (Note in Ducati lingo, Ducatisti is a person who rides a bike from this Italian brand)

The Ducati Monster is a stylish, powerful motorcycle that’s been in production since 1993. Every year, the Italian motor manufacturer celebrates the anniversary of this iconic model that has only spread joy and sparked thrill. The year marks the 25th anniversary of Ducati Monster. The Ducati Philippines started celebrating the Monster Day in 2010 and has continued the tradition same ever since.

Ducati Unlimited Club and Ducati Philippines jointly organised the Monster Day. As most Ducatistis are from the Metro, it is the favoured destination for the celebration. But, seeing the growing family, Rally Zamora, incumbent Ducati Unlimited Club President said that in future, the “Ducati Monster Day might be celebrated in different parts of the country.”

Though the event was dedicated to the Monster, it was not the only bike present. The Philippines Ducati community arrived with the full lineup at the venue. Included in the list are - the Diavel, a burly cruiser, the Multistrada, a commending adventure bike, and the Hypermotard, a versatile supermotard.

Members of the Ducati club were not the only ones to attend the event, accompanying them were their family members and friends. From old to young riders, kids to homemakers to college students all enjoyed the angry red motorcycle show.

Many celebrities were present at the 2018 Monster day, like Richard Gomez, Richard Gutierrez, and Dingdong Dantes. Ducati Philippines, Vice President for Finance, Joy Alberto was there to lead the event and was very happy to see Monster’s tremendous growth.

All in all, the 2018 Monster Day celebration was a big hit and had something for everyone to make their evening fun.
