E-Tron is available in 3 different colors - Galaxy Blue Metallic, Antigua Blue and Siem Bidge.
The Audi E-Tron is one remarkable landmark in the history of Audi, for this midsize SUV is the German auto major’s first-ever production all-electric vehicle. The Audi E-Tron has been made available in the Philippines car market in the single variant in which it is sold in other global markets too, with three color options on offer – Antigua Blue, Galaxy Blue and Siam Beige.
On the inside too, Audi has focused a lot in making the cabin feel way more futuristic and cool as compared to the rest of its offerings in the lineup. There are a number of TFT screens here and there for various functions – a hexagonal one behind the steering wheel for instrument console, two screens in the center console stacked one over the other with one each for the infotainment system and MMI interface with controls of ride and climate and two small screens on the corners of the dashboard which act as rearview mirrors.
Audi has executed geometrical lines and shapes quite effectively in the overall cabin of the E-Tron, which can be seen in the way the four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, sleek AC vents on the upper dashboard, the center console which is tilted towards the driver side and door panels. Being a top-spec premium Audi offering, the E-Tron shows no lack of comfort and convenience features as well as space on the inside.
Audi has always been one luxury carmaker to create benchmarks in bringing in one of the latest technologies and design innovation in series production. With the Audi E-Tron, the carmaker has once again proved the same thing. The overall design of the Audi E-Tron is very much inspired by the latest generation SUVs like the Q3 and Q8, with an abundant dose of futuristic appeal in it.
The front profile of the Audi E-Tron has got the large octagonal grille with chrome surrounds as well as vertical chrome slats running in its inner portion. Audi has cleverly played with angular design bits here at the front, which can be seen in the cool looking tilted V-shaped full LED headlamps as well as lower bumper air intakes.
The side profile of the Audi E-Tron too has got much of the Q8-inspiration in its design, with sharply raked A and C pillars, rounded wheel arches with black plastic moulding, slim roof rails and smooth haunches on the fenders. The most unique bit about the side profile of the Audi E-Tron is the replacement of conventional outside rear view mirrors with cool looking camera housings, which project the view of the back in the display screen on the corners of the dashboard on the inside.
At the back, the Audi E-Tron looks very sharp with the very attractive looking tail lamp cluster, which is comprised of long and angular main tail lamps and a sleek looking LED light guide flowing in between the tail lamps across the width of the boot lid.
Audis have always been well balanced when it comes to the ride and handling equation, and the E-Tron being the latest of the bunch offers a supple ride quality and very urban-friendly steering feedback. The use of three-chamber air suspension, as well as adaptive dampers at each corner adjustable from the MMI interface, makes the Audi E-Tron ready to tackle all kinds of surfaces with ease.
The Audi E-Tron sources its thrust from a 48.6 kWh Lithium-ion battery, thus making it the first-ever production-spec all-electric car from the German carmaker. This powertrain, with the use of two electric motors – one on each axle, produces a maximum power output of 384 PS and a peak torque output of 820 Nm. The powertrain promises a maximum driving range of 411 km.
The Audi E-Tron is fully loaded with all the possible safety features one can expect from a premium Audi vehicle, such as front, side, curtain and knee airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, blind-spot monitoring system, auto levelling headlights, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert and many more.
The Audi E-Tron is a state-of-the-art vehicle, something which people were anticipating from Audi for quite a long time now. The coolness quotient of the Audi E-Tron is quite high, with its design as well as mechanicals carrying a lot of futuristic thought process in them.
For one, the Audi e-tron doesn’t look like an electric car. It has a more conventional look like a crossover-SUV. I mean, the Tesla X which looks totally different. What I liked best about the e-tron is its noiseless ride. The ride quality is glide-like. No engine, no transmission, driving the car for the first time seems a bit alien.
Recently took a test drive of the all-electric Audi e-Tron and I found the car to be quicker and more aggressive than conventional SUVs. The e-Tron, in the comfort driving mode, provides a brilliant AWD experience. Some little hints of power is deployed to the rear but only if you need some professional cornering. The e-Tron will safely reach you
