Recent Updates of Audi Q3

The Audi Q3 is Audi’s entry-level SUV. While much smaller than its bigger siblings, the Q3 carries the same identity as its bigger siblings. This is thanks to the Q3 carrying the same design. While in other markets a new and updated Q3 has replaced the previous generation, the Philippines market will have to wait a little longer. Meanwhile, we have to do with the 2017 model that still holds out on its own with a bold fascia and sleek headlights. The interior is as luxurious as you’d expect. There are two engine options on offer. There is the 2.0L TDI in-line four cylinder petrol engine that uses both turbocharging and cylinder on demand technology to produce 148 hp and 250 Nm of torque. There is also the 2L inline 4 turbocharged petrol engine that produces 177 hp and 320 Nm. Diesel is also an option with a 2L inline 4 turbocharged engine producing 118 hp and 290 Nm of torque, 148 hp and 340 Nm of torque or 181 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Quattro is an option on the bigger engines with transmission getting either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic. Prices start from Php 3190000.

Audi Q3, a compact crossover SUV is a 5-door, front engine, all-wheel drive car which is based on a VW platform. Way back in 2006, the designers of Audi started working on Q3 but it was finally unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show of 2011. Later with some cosmetic updates, the Audi Q3 became more classy and appealing in its offerings. In all, the car is a good luxury vehicle from this brand and the same is rightly reflected through its high sales figure.

Interior & Features

The interiors of Audi Q3 have been updated to make it more premium where aluminum and wooden inserts are seen along with an ergonomically styled dashboard. The sporty steering wheel with paddle shifters, cruise control function, a navigation system, and rearview camera only makes it easy for the driver to drive safely and smartly. The infotainment system with 3.5 inch TFT color display provides all essential information related to the journey. The panoramic sunroof on the top allows the sun rays to penetrate in while the automatic air conditioning system maintains adequate temperature inside. The seats are comfortable with lumbar support and the luggage space is ample with foldable rear seat option. The advanced audio system with inbuilt memory and connectivity options help giving not a single dull moment in the journey. The other small utility feature includes 12 V socket, bottle holders, illuminated glove box, floor mats in velour, and LED interior light package.

The compact and finely finished Audi Q3 is unarguably stylish with its dimensions measuring as 4385 mm long, 1831 mm wide, 1590 mm tall along with a wheelbase of 2603 mm. The front profile is sharper with LED headlamps, 3D effects stylish radiator grille and the chrome iconic logo in between. The bumpers are reworked with bold air ducts and the side skirts along with new set of alloy wheels give it a sporty appeal. The sloping D-pillars, clamshell tailgate, and the LED cluster light at the back are some visual features which appeal to everyone and give this car a shapely stylish look.

Engine & Fuel Consumption

Allowing the Audi Q3 to run on the road is its power supplying machine, a 1968 cc 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine which when mated with the 7-speed dual clutch, delivering a maximum power of 175 hp at 4200 rpm and maximum torque of 380 Nm at 2500 rpm. This all-wheel drive car takes 8.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h before touching a top speed of 212 km/h. The above said diesel engine give combined fuel consumption of 5.9 l /100 km.

Braking & Safety

The Audi Q3 comes with a number of safety features for enhanced protection of its occupants. The braking system includes anti-lock braking system and electronic brake force distribution mechanism while the hill starts assist, traction control system and side-on collision protection takes care of the car in their respective ways. The airbags for driver and front passenger along with seat belts tensioner help in holding the occupants back in the seat at the time of the collision. The immobilization system, integrated head restrained system, child locks, parking sensors, and reverse camera are other few basic and important safety features.

The Audi Q3 is extremely appealing in its appearance with a lot of cabin space and comfort features inside. May it be the safety features or the reliable performance, the car has kept its brand's name scoring well. Only the lack of rear headroom can be one criterion which might stop you to pick this expensive car.
