The cabin of the Chevrolet Camaro is very sporty too. There is a Jet Black appeal with leather upholstery. The centre console is also given a custom leather touch. The seats are sports bucket-type and the driver’s seat is 8-way power-adjustable. Both front seats have heating and cooling feature. The rear row is bench-type and can be folded if not in use.

The car gets dual-zone automatic climate control. There is an 8-inch driver’s information display that makes it look like a techno-rich cabin. There is also a head-up display for the infotainment system.

The Chevrolet Camaro is designed to appear like the perfect part-time race-track model. It is less of bulgy and round-ish and more edgy at all ends. There are several drive modes on offer, like Tour, Snow, Ice/Snow, etc. Cruise control makes things even better for the drivers for long hauls.

The Chevy Camaro runs on a turbocharged engine. The 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder engine is capable of thumping out a maximum power of 275 hp, which comes in at 5,600 rpm, while the peak torque delivered to the wheels is 398 Nm, coming between 3,000-4500 rpm. The produced power is channelled to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox.

However, there is also a paddle shifter mounted on the steering for seamless shifts.

The Chevrolet Camaro does not disappoint in the braking department. It has 4-piston calliper discs from Brembo at the front while the rear gets performance disc brakes. anti-lock braking system, brake assist and electronic brakeforce distribution come as standard fitments.

Other safety features include airbags at all sides, seatbelts with pre-tensioner and child seat anchors. The car is made to be very safe with side-impact door beams. For driver’s assistance, the Camaro is configured with rear-cross traffic alert, side blind-spot detection, rear parking sensors with reverse camera, etc.

The Chevrolet Camaro is a very pleasing car, especially for those who are in love towards muscle cars. It is priced at around PHP 3,300,888, which is lesser than the V8 variants of the Ford Mustang. However, it is inferior in terms of the power, even to the 2.0-litre EcoBoost Mustang.

Yet, with the kind of iconic design it has, it is definitely a must buy.
