This full-size, body-on-frame plug-in hybrid SUV is designed to offer a luxurious riding experience both on- and off-road, courtesy of Denza’s DiSus-P Intelligent Damping Suspension system. It tackles muddy and rocky terrain with confidence and finesse while delivering a powerful yet refined performance on the highway. In the Philippines, the Denza B8 comes in two trims - base Dynamic and higher-spec Premium, priced at ₱4.998 million ₱5.398 million, respectively. This plug-in hybrid SUV is available in five colours: Dawn Gold, Emerald Green, Nebula Silver, Eclipse Black, and Arctic White.

Denza B8 Interior & Features
Inside, the Denza B8 comes with a premium cabin that feels classy and modern at the same time, thanks to a combination of soft-touch leather panels, genuine wood trims, and high-tech features. It is also fitted with a multi-colour ambient lighting system. Up front, the driver is treated to an Ultra-Intelligent Interactive Cockpit (D-Link) that consists of a 12.3-inch full-LCD 3D instrument panel, a leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, as well as a futuristic-looking center console with a modern gear lever and a control section. Owners of the Premium trim also get a heads-up display and a night vision system.
For entertainment and information accessibility, this plug-in hybrid SUV features a 17.3-inch ultra-HD center control screen that is equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, an OTA remote upgrade, as well as a car Wi-Fi hotspot and a 4G network connection, among others. This center screen is paired with an 18-speaker Devialet audio system, which delivers high-quality acoustics around the cabin.
In terms of practicality, both trims offer adequate room, regardless of the seating configuration. Aside from that, both trims come with ventilated front and center seats with a massage function. However, only the higher trim gets power-adjustable legrests for its front and middle seats. For convenience, this SUV is equipped with a wireless phone charger, a 12V power port, a negative ion air purifier, a refrigerator, and a total of six USB ports (Type-A and Type-C).
Denza B8 Exterior
For starters, the Denza B8 model line measures 5,195 mm in length, 1,994 mm in width, and 1,905 mm in height. This full-size plug-in hybrid SUV also comes with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm.
Appearance-wise, the Denza B8 looks polished and brutish at the same time. At night, it projects a confident glare through its LED automatic matrix headlights with claw-like LED DRLs. It sports an imposing blacked-out grille and a bulky geometric-shaped bumper, which complement its boxy architecture. This SUV also gets cornering lamps for enhanced visibility at all times.
Meanwhile, its side profile is defined by a combination of muscular proportions and modern design cues such as soft-closing doors with pop-out door handles, as well as electrically-adjustable and foldable mirrors with a heating function. This SUV is fitted with robust yet elegant-looking 20-inch wheels and gets fixed side steps for enhanced passenger convenience.
Similar to the front, its rear also exudes a mix of ruggedness and modernity, highlighted by its C-shaped LED combination lights, rear privacy glass, and an LED high-mounted third brake light for increased illumination. A full-size spare tyre cover adds a classic touch to its overall appearance on the road.
Denza B8 Ride & Handling
In terms of suspension, the Denza B8 comes with front and rear Double WIshbone, which are supported by the brand’s DiSus-P Intelligent Damping Suspension technology. This advanced setup contributes to this plug-in hybrid SUV’s adaptability both on- and off-road. That said, it can deliver a supple experience, whether you are navigating through rocky and muddy trails or passing through bumpy, uneven roads. The B8 is also equipped with front and rear electronic differentials (Dynamic has rear only) and a Leopard Turn feature, all of which enhance its overall performance off-road.
Denza B8 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Denza B8 model line runs on a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 2L engine, which delivers 180 kW of maximum power and 380 Nm of maximum torque, with two permanent magnet synchronous motors. Its front motor produces 200 kW of power and 360 Nm of torque, while its rear motor generates 300 kW and 400 Nm. Feeding its dual motor setup is a 37-kWh BYD Blade battery that offers an NEDC pure electric range of up to 115 km.
Combined, its entire plug-in hybrid powertrain delivers 450 kW of power, 760 Nm of torque, and an NEDC range of up to 1,040 km. This SUV comes mated to an electric hybrid drive system and utilizes a four-wheel drivetrain (4WD).
That said, the B8’s plug-in hybrid technology boasts instantaneous power and torque on the open road. It is an immensely capable rugged machine that can tackle steep inclines while carrying a heavy load, thanks to all of its available torque. On the highway, it gets up to speed effortlessly, going from 0 to 100 kmph in an impressive 4.8 seconds. You also have the flexibility to adjust how it performs, courtesy of its multiple driving modes. Overall, the Denza B8 is both a great off-roader and a respectable long-distance cruiser.
Denza B8 Braking & Safety
Safety is also not an issue for the Denza B8, as it is equipped with the brand’s DiPilot technology. This includes a smart driving surround view and high perception camera, a high-precision millimeter wave radar, an ultrasonic radar, blind spot detection, traffic sign recognition, forward and rearward collision warning, intelligent cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control, among others.
