    Recent Updates of Honda Jazz

    Honda recently unveiled the official international version of Jazz  for the European market and it looks very different from the third-generation model currently available in the Philippines. The fourth-generation Jazz might enter the Philippine market sometime in the latter half of this year. For now, the Filipinos have to make do with the third-gen Jazz which is available in three variants and starts at a price tag of Php 933,000. All variants are powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that makes 120 PS of power and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or CVT unit depending upon the variant.

    Honda Jazz Interior & Features

    Within the standard size of a hatchback, Honda Jazz gives you extra utility storage. The surprisingly flexible seats can be adjusted in four different modes as per usage - Utility mode, Long mode, Tall mode and Refreshing mode. The steering wheel of Honda Jazz has switches to control functions like Paddle Shift, Cruise Control System and audio control that increases handling over operations by the driver. Alongside, you will get all the other standard interior comfort features like cup holders, power switches, automatic control panels for stereo, AC and much more. This is the hatchback that provides its users with a boot space of 363-litre. For fun and entertainment, AM, FM, radio, CD player, USB and aux-in functions are provided that produce a decent sound output through the efficient speakers.

    Jazz Exterior

    Designed on the new concept of short stature and refined dynamics, Honda Jazz has a compact exterior layout of a hatchback. The windscreen is kept wide for clear visibility of the driver while the bonnet is kept minuscule. Its side profile has got an urbane body touch with expressive lines sculpted all-over it. OVRMS are in body color while the B-pillars have a glossy black finish appearance. Moving on to its rear, this hatchback has a different styling with a spoiler integrated alongside third brake light on the lower side. The exterior dimensions for this hatchback for all the variants read as 3900 mm X 1695 mm X 1525 mm (L X W X H) while the wheelbase reads 2500 mm. Jazz LX trim is equipped with 15-inch wheels with tyre size 175/65 R15 whereas, the higher trim comes fitted with 185/55 R16 of tyre size on 16-inch wheels.

    Honda Jazz Engine & Fuel Consumption

    Renowned for its performance, fuel economy and easy handling, Honda-jazz is powered by an advanced 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC inline 4 cylinder engine which generates a maximum power of 118 hp at 6600 rpm and a peak torque of 146 Nm at 4800 rpm. With programmed Fuel Injection, it delivers a mileage of 21.27 kmpl which is a substantial count for a vehicle of this size. Besides that, the engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. Jazz takes around 9.8 seconds to achieve the zero to 100 kmph mark, while the top speed is approximately 160 kmph.

    Jazz Braking & Safety

    Honda knows that safety is always first for you and your family, so it provides you with reliable safety features to keep you safe during a fun and thrilling ride. The braking system consists of ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear. It comes with a rear parking camera, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and also emergency stop signal during a case of hard stopping or collision by flashing rapidly all the lights of the car. The other safety features include HSA (Hill Start Assist) and VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist) which comes only in the VX + and VX variants. The side curtains and 6 airbags would protect you from any casualty during a collision.
