The Lexus LC’s cabin offers just the right balance of comfort and sportiness. Its Alcantara seats are not the plushiest out there but can still offer great cushioning and support for all passengers even when cruising at high speeds. The front row is a nice place to be in. In contrast, the second row is a bit cramped for tall and larger passengers. But, seating two kids or smaller adults at the back shouldn’t be a problem. Additionally, its cargo space is also a bit limited for multiple grocery bags and large baggage. But, on the plus side, there is an abundance of cutting-edge technology and premium finishes inside the vehicle. This luxury coupe is equipped with Lexus’ Climate Concierge and an LED ambient lighting system.

Aside from these, owners of the LC are treated to a very driver-centric cockpit that comes with an 8-inch TFT instrument panel, a Takumi steering wheel with control switches and paddle shifters, and a classy-looking leather shift knob. The LC also has two USB ports, door pockets, and front cupholders for the driver and front passenger’s convenience.

The Lexus LC is powered by a 5L V8 Four Cam, 32-Valve engine that produces a maximum power output of 471 hp and a maximum torque of 540 Nm. This grand touring coupe’s motor is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission system. It utilizes a rear-wheel drivetrain.

This grand touring coupe shows its dominance and capability as the driver reaches higher RPMs. For the LC, overtaking slower vehicles on free-flowing highways is lightwork. And, if you are a fan of satisfying engine noises, then you’d definitely enjoy hearing its majestic roar out on the open road. Fuel consumption-wise, it is not the most frugal out there but is still efficient enough to pass through light to moderate city traffic.

The Lexus LC comes with advanced safety features such as Lexus’ Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM), blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, Lexus’ Dynamic Handling System, and a drive-start control among others. In terms of braking, this luxury coupe utilizes front and rear ventilated discs. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control system, vehicle stability control, and a brake assist system.  

In my opinion, the Lexus LC is more of a niche-based vehicle. Hence, it will not appeal to every consumer within the local market. But, for discerning buyers who are looking for a luxury coupe that offers a great mix of touring refinement and exhilaration on the road, the LC is certainly a compelling option.
