Will Lexus PH bring in the LC500's 'final' version?

MANILA: Lexus Philippines could be retailing the LC500’s final version in the local market soon. 

This comes after the Land Transportation Office (LTO) published a memorandum circular on the “Specification and Classification” of the “Lexus LC500 V8 AT Final.” 

The aforementioned piqued the interest of Lexus fans as various reports stated that the said nameplate could be discontinued soon. 

To put it into perspective, the Lexus LC500 has been around since 2017, which was eight years ago. Simply put, it is already an ageing nameplate. 

In connection with the Lexus LC500 V8 AT Final, there’s also no word from Lexus Philippines about this variant yet. But interestingly, Toyota Motor Philippines, and by extension Lexus Philippines, have already disclosed their planned product launches for 2026, which had no mention of the LC500 “Final” version.

Lexus LC500 V8 AT Final: specs 

Regardless of whether the Lexus LC500 V8 AT Final will be the last of its kind or not, the LC500 nameplate as a whole remains one of the most potent cars in the brand’s local lineup. 

Per the LTO memorandum circular, the said model uses a 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine. It was likewise indicated that the vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 270 kilometers per hour (kph). 

The government agency didn’t publish its performance figures, but the version that’s currently listed on the Lexus Philippines official website can generate up to 471 horsepower and 540 Newton-meters of torque. 

Further, the memorandum circular stated that it uses 245/40 RF21 front and 275/35 RF21 rear tires. These are wrapped over 21-inch wheels. 

It was likewise indicated that the Lexus LC500 V8 AT Final will have the following dimensions:

Again, Lexus Philippines has yet to disclose anything about the LC500 V8 AT Final, so let’s just wait for more updates. Then again, its appearance in LTO’s issuance archive could signal an imminent local launch. 

At the time of posting , the Lexus LC500 prices in the Philippines are P11.138 million and P12.378 million (for the Coupe and Convertible, respectively).
