Here’s how Toyota Motor PH ended 2025

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) concluded 2025 with strong retail numbers, which lead to its dominating share in the local automotive industry.

For the full 12 months of the previous year, the Japanese automaker’s local arm cornered 45-percent market share after selling a total of 229,447 units for its two brands (Toyota and Lexus).

Out of the overall volume, 19,516 examples were electrified models (XEV) — which showed a 40-percent increase versus 2024 — contributing to the 44,228 new energy-powered units that TMP retail since 2009.

During a recent engagement, TMP President Masando Hashimoto shared that the company’s performance helped them stay in the Top 10 markets for Toyota around the world.

Amid the slowdown in sedan sales in the local automotive scene, the Toyota Vios remains TMP’s best-selling model — followed by the Avanza and Hilux. Meanwhile, the NXh and RXh crossovers and the LMh luxe van are for its premium sub-brand.

TMP’s best-sellers in its stable are as follows:

Notably, sales of the Toyota Tamaraw have reached 17,524 units as of December 2025.

Additionally, Hashimoto is looking at sustaining last year’s momentum in 2026.

2026 plans

For 2026, TMP confirmed that it will introduce at least seven models in the country. They are:

• Urban Cruiser
•  RAV4
•  LC300 HEV
• Land Cruiser FJ
• Hilux
• Refreshed IS
• All-new ES

Further, the TMP president also announced that the firm is keen on growing its 75-strong dealer network.

Currently, TMP has 86 facilities made up of service centers, showrooms, and lifestyle centers.
