2026 Toyota GR PH Esports GT Championship set this month

MANILA: After the qualifying round ending last week, organizers expressed readiness for the final round of the 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines Esports GT Championship.

Based on the invitation to Zigwheels Philippines, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) shared that the much-awaited sim-racing event in the country is set on September 27 at the SMX Convention Center.

While the results of the qualifiers have yet to be formally announced, TGR Philippine Cup mainstay Russel Reyes and TMP President Masando Hashimoto jointly shared the provisional results shared on social media.

In the said post, tournament veterans Reyes and Luis Moreno took the top two spots in the Sporting Class division while Enzo Ison was at first place in the newly-introduced Junior Class category.

Interestingly, Jo Hashimoto, the TMP president’s son, is part of the Top 10 list in the Junior Class division—sitting at the eighth spot.

Earlier, TMP noted that the 10 fastest players in the two divisions will advance to the National Finals, where the three regional finals representatives will be determined.

Champions of the Sporting Class and Junior Class—with the third slot going to the runner-up of either class who has the higher number of points after the final round—will comprise the country's representatives for the regional meet.

Apart from representing the country at the regional finals, the category champions will each receive a P100,000 cash prize, while the runners-up from both classes will receive P75,000 each—with all of them set to receive official Gazoo Racing merchandise.

The aforementioned virtual racing series—which had its maiden season in 2020—has continuously supported the local grassroots motorsports scene.

To note, winners from virtual racing competition’s previous seasons also took part in the TGR Philippine Cup.
