Discaya-owned Rolls Royce Cullinan sold for P29-M

MANILA: The Rolls Royce Cullinan that was once owned by the Discaya couple went under the hammer today and was sold for P29.026 million.

The winning bidder for the infamous vehicle was Igorot Stone Kingdom Incorporated under its chief executive, Pio Velasco.

In a report, the buyer was quoted as saying that unit was bought to preserve history since it has become a symbol that opened the floodgarea of corruption.

To note, the subject vehicle was among the Discaya-linked fleet that the Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized last year due to either lack of documentation or bearing fraudulent papers.

Optional features include a choice of wheel styles and painted brake calipers, various materials for the Spirit of Ecstasy motif, black detailing on the pillars, as well as select underbody protection options. 

Would-be owners can also choose from various headlining selections (like black cloth, a panoramic sunroof, or the Shooting Star Headliner), as well as different kinds of leather (and leather patterns), and veneer detailing. 

The screens on the dashboard are powered by the SPIRIT operating system, which according to the carmaker, allows further cabin personalization. 

Other optional appointments come in the form of various treadplates, screens for the passengers, picnic tables, privacy curtains, different boot packages, and add-ons like Lambswool floor mats, a Vehicle Identification Number plaque inside the cabin, and a lighter-and-ashtray combo for those who want to smoke inside their rides. 

Some sought-after accessories include a champagne chest, bespoke luggage, and a unique umbrella.
