Inside, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric’s cabin layout is a real representation of luxury and first-class. You have loads of room and premium finishes around the vehicle. Its leather seats are very well-padded and provide top-notch cushioning and ergonomics for all passengers.

For entertainment and information accessibility, it comes with a high-tech MBUX Multimedia System that comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an advanced navigation system, and voice control among others. Meanwhile, drivers have access to a head-up display, a fully-digital instrument panel with an offroad cockpit feature, and an expensive-looking multifunction steering wheel wrapped in leather. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric utilizes a suspension setup with adaptive damping adjustment. Thanks to this suspension setup, you’ll be able to confidently take on rocky and muddy off-road terrains with this SUV. On top of this, it also comes with the brand’s G-Turn and G-Steering features, which not only enhance its off-roading capability, but also increases its agility when passing through twisties or winding roads.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric runs on four electric motors that generate a maximum power output of 587 hp and a maximum torque of 1,164 Nm. Its quad-motor system is mated to a 116 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a WLTP driving range of up to 473 km. 

With all of that torque, you’ll be able to effortlessly overtake slower vehicles on free-flowing highways and definitely have a blast out on the open road. For its size, it is incredibly quick and smooth off the line. Additionally, its cabin remains quiet and composed even at high speeds. 

Meanwhile, in the city, its driving range is more than enough to make your daily commute easier and simpler. It can also be a reliable weekend ride for your shorter-distance out-of-town trips. All in all, it is certainly a beast yet remains immensely refined even when driven in a very spirited fashion. 

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric is equipped with a long list of driving assistance and safety systems. This includes a Pre-Safe system, an active parking assist with Parktronic, adaptive highbeam assist plus, blind spot assist, active distance and steering assists, a transparent bonnet, a 360-degree camera, as well as the aforementioned G-Turn, G-Steering, and Offroad Cockpit among others. In terms of braking, it comes with front and rear ventilated discs.

Considering that it is currently the cheapest G-Class model in the local lineup, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Electric is arguably the most practical and usable (on a daily basis) of its kind. Among the locally-available luxury SUVs, it stands out in terms of versatility and capability on the road. That said, the G-Class Electric is definitely worth every peso.
