A mixed bag
I have been driving the Mini 5-door hatchback since 2019 and the experience has been rather mixed. A strong and flexible powertrain and engaging handling are the plus points of the car. It has a strong suspension, a tradition that Mini has followed over the years. The suspension’s travel is short and you may feel the odd bump and crash. But the damping ensures no OMG moments. There’s also a bit of coarse tire noise. While the engine should have been crispier, it’s flexible enough to quickly negotiate bends and turns on the city road. It’s a good car to own with low maintenance costs.
