  • About Mini Philippines

    Built and foreseen by the BMC (British Motor Company), the Mini was always designed with the concept of being a small, simple, and easily practical vehicle. Originally designed as a car model in 1959, the MINI I (Mini 1) was the initial representative of the present generation of its cars.

    The first Mini earned its name for representing the pop culture and owned its name ever since 1964. However, it was until sever other years that Mini was only known to be MINI. It was in the mid of the years of its evolution when few racing teams realized its potential of running in the tracks. 

    It was when an automobile enthusiast John Cooper, in compilation with BMC when the brand’s flagship, MINI Cooper came into existence. Currently, the brand is a subsidiary of the BMW management and has built its name globally for the cars it builds and the torque it delivers.

    It was in the recent trend of the automobile industry when the MINI decided to electrify its iconic Cooper. Unlike most other vehicles in the sector, Mini came with the vision of a greener and electrified future for its customers and the world.  The Electric concept cars by the brand involve a similar iconic design but with a changed and more eco-friendly power source.

    In the Phillippines, MINI is locally imported and distributed by British United Automobiles Inc. Currently, the brand offers 5 new car models in the Philippines. The Mini 5 Door, Mini 3 Door, Mini Clubman, the iconic Cooper re-named as the “New Original”.

    The re-launched Cooper which was launched in the mid of 2014 introduced the world to a number of MINI’s. The name of some of these cars includes Paceman, Clubman, Countryman, Coupe, Cabrio, and Roadster. All the cars mentioned in the lineup come with their unique “go-kart” handling and the John Cooper Works styling and performance packages.
