Nissan X–Trail Review 2025
Abhishek Katariya says
The Japanese automaker Nissan always tries to incorporate some refreshingly new designs to bring a revamped version for its customer base. One such model from Nissan is the X-Trail which is a midsize premium SUV that is currently in its third generation. Recently, a facelifted version was launched in the Philippines market and it looks absolutely stunning with masculinity and sophistication oozing out from every inch and corner of the car. The X-Trail is offered in five colour options – Corona Orange, Marine Blue, Pearl White, Gun Metal, and Diamond Black. The Nissan X-Trail is available in two variants – the 2.0 4X2 CVT price at Php 1.53 Million and the 2.5 4X4 CVT priced at Php 1.82 Million.
Nissan X–Trail Interior & Features
The Japanese designers must receive wide acclamation for bringing out a revamped cabin design. From the inside, the X-Trail looks like one premium car with the best quality materials used. Is wouldn’t be wrong to say that X-Trail has got one of the intricately designed cabin spaces among all the Nissan cars. As you get inside the car, the dark black piano-theme-based cabin welcomes you. The black theme makes the overall layout looks sportier and plush. Coming to the steering wheel, it is a conventional three-spoke design wheel, with all the requisite buttons for audio, Bluetooth, and cruise controls. Talking about the center-instrument cluster, it houses a coloured MID screen and two big dials along with a wide touchscreen infotainment system. The instrument console looks pretty well-arranged with all ubiquitous features for audio and Bluetooth connectivity.
Additional features that further enhance the already elegant cabin space of X-Trail are a panoramic sunroof, push-button start with keyless entry, full leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control with AC vents for all the three rows, and many more. The cabin is pretty spacious with ample headroom and legroom for the middle row occupants.
X–Trail Exterior
The exterior aesthetics of X-Trail have been revamped to give a masculine and bold look to the SUV. Though the designers have worked really hard to mark a presence of the SUV, with its refreshingly new looks, somehow the intimidation of X-Trail gets subdued with some similar segment cars like the Terra.
However, the exterior looks of the car are no less than scintillating and house every modernity that you would want to sport in a premium SUV. The front fascia of the car dons a new front grille, which looks stunning in a piano black garnishing and V-shaped chrome. The inner edges have LED Daytime Running Lights, surrounded by the angular headlamps with further enhance the beauty of the front profile.
Coming to the side profile of the car, we see nicely contoured lines and curves running all over the body of the car. While the overall look is decent and subtle, the curvy wheel arches below the window waistline, add to the swag and style of the SUV. The door handles, window frames and even the black cladding below the doors get premium chrome garnishing. Adding further to the quirkiness of the SUV are roof rails and diamond cut alloy wheels.
The rear profile of the car looks simple and elegant with the bumper design and license plate with chrome garnishing.
Nissan X–Trail Ride & Handling
It wouldn’t be wrong to claim that Nissan X-Trail is one of the finest handling SUVs of its segment. The finesse of the ride and handling feature is mainly due to the monocoque frame as well as stiffly sprung independent struts with stabilizer at the front and independent multi-link with stabilizer at the rear. With the disc brake setup at both the ends as well as limited-slip differential present in the 4x4 variant, the X-Trail is able to perform mild off-road duties with the utmost ease.
X–Trail Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Nissan X-Trail is available in two engine options- both of which are petrol-powered. The smaller 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is coupled to a 4x2 drivetrain and sparks a 144 PS of maximum power and 200 Nm of peak torque output. On the other hand, the bigger 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine is mated to a 4x4 drivetrain and pumps out 171 PS of maximum power and 233 Nm of peak torque outputs. Both these engines are adjoined to a common CVT transmission.
Nissan X–Trail Braking & Safety
The X-Trail’s safety feature list includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, seat belt pre-tensioners with force limiters, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, reverse camera, front and rear parking sensors, around view camera with moving object detection, forward-collision warning system, forward emergency braking, hill descent control, hill start assist, vehicle dynamic control, blind-spot warning system, and rear cross-traffic alert.
X–Trail Verdict
The technological enhancements that have been added to the Nissan X-Trail have added a new layer of comfort and security, especially the safety features. The plush and feature-rich interior cabin, smooth ride quality, and a long list of safety features only add to the premium feel offered by the X-Trail. It does provide an amazing driving experience with the mutual trust of the terrain. For the price tag that X-Trail comes with, it is a good bet to place.
