Honda Rebel 1100

The Honda Rebel 1100 is designed keeping the smaller Rebel models in consideration, and that’s the reason why it looks like a grown-up version of the Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 with the same design language. For a litre class cruiser, the Honda Rebel 1100 has substance and looks large and premium.

At the front, the Honda Rebel 1100 gets a rounded headlamp featuring all-LED illumination with four tiny LED projectors and two C-shaped daytime running LEDs placed sideways and facing each other. Like the other Rebel models, the Honda Rebel 1100 also gets its rounded LED turn indicators mounted on the upper clamps of the front forks, while also having a single-pod instrument console placed above it.

Moving sideways, the Honda Rebel 1100 has a long and sloping fuel tank placed over the inclined part of the trellis frame underneath. The Honda Rebel 1100 gloriously exposes its black-themed engine, which has a huge rectangular radiator in front of it, while having a single two-into-one black exhaust emerging from it. The exhaust pipe is also finished in a black powder-coated theme, with its tip finished in silver.

Like any other traditional cruiser, the Honda Rebel 1100 also has a lowered stance with low ground clearance and a low-positioned seat. The Honda Rebel 1100 gets split seats as standard, including a large and curved seat for the rider and a small pillion seat mounted above the curved rear fender. A small and rounded LED tail lamp is mounted on the rear fender, while also accompanied by rounded LED turn indicators.

The Honda Rebel 1100 has a tall and curved handlebar, which is stretched wide and comes with premium switches on both sides. Behind the central part of the handlebar, the Honda Rebel 1100 gets a single-pod, rounded full-LCD instrument console, which gets a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, gear indicator and engine temperature gauge. This instrument console also has a curved display unit on its right side, which shows the warning lights of the  motorcycle. Being a flagship cruiser model from Honda, the fit and finish quality levels are top-notch on this motorcycle.

Like all the other Rebel models from Honda, the Rebel 1100 is also based on a tubular trellis frame, while getting a suspension combination of 43mm telescopic forks with preload-adjustable at the front and twin piggyback coil springs with preload-adjustable at the rear. The 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel of the Honda Rebel 1100 are wrapped with a 110/80 R19 tyre at the front and a 150/70 R17 tyre at the rear. For braking, the Honda Rebel 1100 is equipped with single-disc brakes at both ends – 330mm disc at the front and 256mm disc at the rear.

The Honda Rebel 1100 gets its power from a four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 270-degree parallel-twin, 1083cc engine, which is paired with a 6-speed transmission. Engineered exclusively for the Honda Rebel 1100, this liquid-cooled engine is refined even at higher RPMs and generates a maximum power output of 87 PS and a peak torque output of 98 Nm.

Apart from a dual-channel ABS, the Honda Rebel 1100 also gets four-riding modes (Rain, Road, Standard and User), three-level traction control, wheelie control, cruise control and torque control, making it one of the best-equipped cruisers of its price.

While the design of the Honda Rebel 1100 lacks individuality compared to the smaller Rebel models from Honda, its larger dimensions, more powerful engine, and comprehensive net of safety features justify its premium positioning over them.
