Design-wise, the KLX150S is oozing with youthfulness and vigor. At the front, it sports a sharp beak and a newly developed LED headlamp reminiscent of full-fledged enduro motorcycles. Its round mirrors and turn signals give its front end a classic vibe. Additionally, its telescopic fork suspension is equipped with fork boots for enhanced safety and performance during trail days.

Up front, the rider gets a compact full LCD digital instrument display that offers excellent visibility at all times. Its seat offers decent cushioning and ergonomics for the rider but is a bit thin and narrow for the passenger. On the plus side, this dual-sport motorcycle comes with rubber pillion foot rests and metal footpegs, which help make filtering through traffic at low speeds more tolerable. The Kawasaki KLX150S is powered by a 144cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power output of 11.53 hp (8.6 kW) and a maximum torque output of 11.3 Nm. This dual-sport motorcycle comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox.

While its performance might not impress spirited riders, this dual-sport motorcycle can still deliver a nice punch off the line. It has adequate power and torque to take on light to moderate off-road trails in the provincial areas and, at the same time, make your daily city commutes more enjoyable and convenient. Admittedly, its engine has a tendency to struggle at higher speeds. Hence, overtakes on this motorcycle should be performed with extra precaution. However, its impressive fuel efficiency more than makes up for its lack of power and torque. 

In terms of braking, the Kawasaki KLX150S comes with front and rear discs (front: 240 mm, rear: 190 mm). In terms of safety, this dual-sport motorcycle is equipped with a pass switch, a low fuel indicator, as well as the aforementioned fork boots.
