NWOW TK10 Review 2025
Abhishek Katariya says
The NWOW TK10 is a low-speed, low-cost, entry-level electric scooter with a neo-retro design language from the Chinese electric two-wheeler and bicycle maker NWOW. With classic-looking touches and a lightweight body, the NWOW TK10 can be bought in one of the two colour options on sale in the Philippines: White or Black.

NWOW TK10 Design
The NWOW TK10 is a very basic entry-level scooter, and that is evident in its cost-effective design and build quality. While the scooter tries to have a neo-retro essence in its overall design from front to rear, the overall execution looks and feels below average. The build quality and fit and finish levels are also lower than industry standards.
The NWOW TK10's front profile has a curvy-themed apron flowing downwards, with a U-shaped contrast panel in the upper middle part of the apron. This U-shaped black panel houses the round-themed halogen headlamp in the middle, which sits within a pop-out circular pod. The front apron also has round-themed amber turn indicators with chrome surrounds positioned below the headlamp on its outer edges.
The NWOW TK10 has a flat floorboard which is positioned a bit higher than usual, which might make some two-wheeler riders with taller heights a bit uncomfortable to place their knees. The side panels of the TK10 also carry a curvaceous theme for their design while missing out on sharp edges and creases. While the white colour option comes with a tan-coloured seat, the black colour option has a blacked-out seat. In both cases, the seat is large and accommodating enough for two full-sized adults.
At the back, the NWOW TK10 has a very plain design, with a tiny trapezoidal halogen tail lamp and amber rounded turn indicators gracing the scooter's rear profile. These lights get chrome surrounds to add the neo-retro touch to the overall visual appeal of the scooter. The rear profile of the TK10 also has a small luggage rack, which can be used for mounting small-sized items or luggage, further adding utility to the scooter.
The NWOW TK10 also has a very basic and functional full-LCD instrument console. This console has a blue backlight and reads out essential data, including vehicle speed, distance covered, battery level, and clock. This round-shaped instrument console has a chrome surround for a premium look. The TK10 also gets basic-looking switches and a small tinted visor ahead of the console.
TK10 Ride & Handling
The NWOW TK10 has a very basic mechanical setup for its chassis, comprising telescopic forks at the front and a unit hydraulic coil spring at the rear. Due to its light kerb weight, the TK10 feels nimble and easy to handle, especially at lower city speeds. The scooter rides on 10-inch wheels shod with tubeless tyres, with a basic disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel for braking.
NWOW TK10 Engine & Fuel Consumption
Powering the rear wheel of the NWOW TK10 is a 0.8kW electric motor, which gives it a top speed of 45-55 kmph. The TK10 might be low on peak performance, but it picks up its pace smoothly and linearly, making low-speed urban rides easy. The NWOW TK10 is also offered with a 60V20Ah lead-acid battery, which gives it a decent range of 70-90 km. This battery can be charged from 0 to 100 per cent in 6-8 hours.
TK10 Braking & Safety
Given its very basic product positioning in the Philippines two-wheeler market, the NWOW TK10 misses out on many premium safety riding aids. However, despite its cheaper price tag, the TK10 comes with a couple of essentials, like a lockable under-seat storage compartment and a disc brake for the front wheel to make braking safer and quicker.
NWOW TK10 Verdict
The NWOW TK10 is a low-cost, entry-level electric scooter that has been designed just for mere commuting purposes. It lacks the aspirational value, technical finesse, and quality levels of a traditional Japanese scooter. However, it delivers decent performance for making everyday commuting easy and economical.
