NWOW WSP

The NWOW WSP's overall design has a neo-retro essence, which looks much better than the low-rent TK10 and makes it quite a looker for the price it is being offered. The neo-retro design highlights of the NWOW WSP are complemented well by the compact dimensions and sleek-looking curves, which further add to its visual appeal.

The NWOW WSP's front apron has a slanted design with curved edges on the sides and a sleek-looking vertical black garnish panel that divides it into two halves. This vertical black contrast panel accommodates a U-shaped daytime running LED light in its lower part. The side edges of the front apron have boomerang-shaped chrome garnish highlights, which also accommodate LED turn indicators in the middle. Like any other neo-retro scooter, the NWOW WSP also has a curvaceous handlebar cowl with a round-themed halogen headlamp with chrome surrounds. 

Moving sideways, the NWOW WSP impresses with its curvaceous-looking side body panels, which are large and add visual bulk to the otherwise compact-sized scooter. The floorboard is small, which might make taller riders complain about the lack of room for their knees. The curvaceous side body panels also come with boomerang-shaped chrome garnish highlights along with mild graphics.

At the back, the NWOW WSP has a curvy-looking and slanted panel, on which the tail lamp cluster of the scooter is mounted. Featuring chrome surrounds, this cluster houses a tail lamp with turn indicators on its side. The WSP also has a very attractive-looking alloy pillion rail, while the covers for the rear swingarm have a body-coloured finish. 

The NWOW WSP has a large hexagonal binnacle for the compact instrument console, which is an all-digital colour-LCD affair with a negative display for the speedometer, odometer, remaining range, and clock. This hexagonal binnacle also houses the warning lights, with the NWOW WSP also getting rounded rearview mirrors. While the WSP is the flagship product from NWOW, it still lacks the fit and finish excellence and finesse of even the entry-level traditional petrol scooters from Japanese brands. 

Measuring 1940mm long, 690mm wide, and 1170mm tall, the NWOW WSP has a telescopic fork at the front and a unit hydraulic coil spring as standard for the suspension setup of both of its variants. The scooter also has 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake. 

The NWOW WSP is being made available with two powertrain combinations. The base-spec variant comes with a 72V32Ah lead-acid battery and a 1.5kW electric motor, while the more premium variant has a 72V40Ah lithium-ion battery and a 3kW electric motor. 

In the base variant, the 1.5kW electric motor propels the NWOW WSP to a top speed of 45-55 kmph, while the 72V32Ah lead-acid battery claims a maximum range of 80-100 km and takes 6-8 hours for a full charge. Meanwhile, the 3kW electric motor in the more premium variant of NWOW WSP gives it a top speed of 75-85 kmph, while the 72V40Ah lithium-ion battery takes 7-9 hours for a full charge and delivers 70-90 km range.

While the NWOW WSP might be the most premium and range-topping product from NWOW's stable, it still lacks modern safety features or electronic riding aids. However, it does come with a lockable under-seat storage compartment as standard for small items.

Compared to other entry-level and cheap offerings from NWOW, the WSP feels a bit more desirable with relatively better fit and finish levels, choices of decent powertrains that don’t feel sluggish and low-rent, and a cooler-looking design. However, it still lacks the ultimate finesse of the segment-best options.
