Suzuki GSX-8TT Review 2026
The Suzuki GSX-8TT is a middleweight, neo-retro motorcycle that blends a very satisfying vintage-like aesthetic with advanced technology and modern performance on the road. Inspired by Suzuki’s GS1000 AMA race bike of the 1980s, it features a stylish retro design with an appealing motorsport vibe. It has a sportier appearance than its single T counterpart courtesy of its bold-looking headlight cowl at the front. The Suzuki GSX-8TT comes in a single variant, which is priced at ₱729,000. This retro-styled naked bike is available in two colours: Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Matte Shadow Green.
Suzuki GSX-8TT Design
The Suzuki GSX-8TT measures 2,115 mm in length, 775 mm in width, 1,160 mm in overall height, and 810 mm in seat height. It has a 1,465 mm wheelbase and a 145 mm ground clearance. This bike runs on a pair of stylish-looking 17-inch wheels.
The Suzuki GSX-8TT’s appearance features a nice blend of retro design cues and modern elements. Upfront, it has an assertive-looking facade illuminated by a flat-bottom mono-round LED headlight inspired by Suzuki motorcycles of the past. It is given a headlight cowl for a sportier touch overall.
Riders get a 5-inch color TFT instrument display, which helps them perform at their best when on the go. It comes with a saddle that features an exclusive stitched upholstery. This stylish seat provides top-notch comfort and ergonomics for both the rider and the pillion even on long-distance trips out of town. Admittedly, its seat is still a bit high for the average Filipino rider. However, it is more accessible than the GSX-8T’s saddle, which is 5mm higher. For more convenience, it comes with a fast-charging USB Type-C socket.
On the sides, its sporty naked bike profile is accentuated by blacked-out engine side covers and under cowl, as well as a stainless steel muffler cover. Its bulky fuel tank adds more depth to its presence. Aside from these, its sharp-looking rear is enhanced by a sleek LED taillight.
GSX-8TT Ride & Handling
The Suzuki GSX-8TT features an oil-damped suspension combination of an Inverted Telescopic Fork at the front and a Link Type at the rear. Its suspension setup comes with front and rear Coil Springs. Thanks to this suspension setup, you and your pillion will be able to enjoy a pliant and very comfortable riding experience both in the city and on the highway. You will also be able to confidently hit sharp turns or corners even at high speeds with this bike. However, shorter and smaller riders might find it a bit heavy to maneuver through tight traffic and narrow streets due to its extra weight. But, overall, this retro-styled roadster can deliver impressive comfort both on short and long-distance trips.
Suzuki GSX-8TT Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Suzuki GSX-8TT is powered by a 776 cc, 4-stroke, 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that has a maximum power output of 81 hp and a maximum torque of 77 Nm. This neo-retro roadster runs on a 6-speed constant mesh (manual) transmission gearbox.
Off the line, the bike is quick and delivers satisfying pull. Its engine offers a smooth, linear power delivery, which makes overtaking on free-flowing highways worry-free for the rider. Its transmission is also very responsive and rider-friendly courtesy of Suzuki’s Clutch Assist System. And, on top of this, this bike is a joy to ride even when filtering through traffic in the city thanks to its Low RPM Assist. Ultimately, the GSX-8TT is a well-designed bike for your daily commute within the Metro and a capable long-distance tourer for your weekend out-of-town trips.
GSX-8TT Braking & Safety
The Suzuki GSX-8TT is equipped with advanced electronic rider aids such as Suzuki’s Traction Control System, Bi-Directional Quick Shift System, and multiple riding modes. In terms of braking, it comes with front twin discs and a rear single disc. Its braking setup is supported by an anti-lock braking system.
Suzuki GSX-8TT Verdict
The Suzuki GSX-8TT is a great choice for discerning buyers who are looking for a neo-retro styled bike that effectively blends a satisfying vintage feel with sporty aesthetic and modern performance on the road.
