  • About SYM Philippines

Sanyang Motor Co., Ltd., also known by the name SYM has been a local hero for the market. The brand came to existence in the year 1999. With its aim to provide affordable and durable motorcycles for transportation and business, SYM Philippines has been more of a local brand due to its cost-effective measures.

The SYM motorcycles are exclusively imported, and assembled within the bounds of the country and have its roots, dating back to the 90’s when it was the manufacturer of bicycle generator light. In the beginning, the company started with a few employees in a small office under the name Sanyang Electrics.

Soon, the brand made its name due to its hard work, quality build, and improvement in innovation. Moreover, with its perseverance, the brand gained international acknowledgment in its automobile and motorcycle fields. Coming to the automobile business, SYM is famous for its active affiliation with Hyundai. The company has also gained firm grounds in Taiwan due to its household auto brand in the country.

Due to its strong marketing channel which leads to the development of great brands to greater heights. Hyundai’s brand also prefers to sell Hyundai products through SANYANG’s marketing channels, which results in providing Hyundai with a great name across the globe. Additionally, the firm has also prepared a great marketing strategy due to its improved marketing channels.

Sanyang is also known due to its technical advancements as it had once held a technical agreement with Honda in 1961. However, it was due to the intense competition when the contract was terminated in 2002. After that, Sanyang tied up with Hyundai Motors to manufacture the Korean brand’s automobiles and mini-trucks in Taiwan.

It was in the year 2010, in the month of January when Sanyang was renamed as Sanyang Motor Co. Ltd. In the Philippines, the brand distributes its motorcycles via Mitsukoshi Motors Philippines Incorporated (MMPI). The SYM brand develops motorcycles to cater to the needs of Filipinos. Currently, the Taiwanese brand’s local lineup consists of Bonus 110, Bonus X, Joyride 200i Evo, RV1-2, and Maxsym 400i.

However, after rain, the handling was not appropriate to say the least. I had a hard time keeping my balance on wet roads and especially
