Recent Updates of TVS Apache Xventure 180

This special edition Apache was recently launched by TVS and is more muscular than before. The XVenture 180 comes with a new LED headlight which is connected with the pilot lamps to offer a predator-like appeal to the front fascia. This bike also features a muscular tank cowl and chiselled tail that help to combat wind resistance. The XVenture 180 is powered by 177.4cc 4-stroke engine that makes 8.5 bhp of power at 8500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The engine is paired to a 5-speed transmission and is powerful enough to propel this Apache from 0 to 60 kmph in 4.2 seconds.

TVS Apache Xventure 180 Review 2025

Being the most premium motorcycle from TVS in the Philippines, the TVS Apache Xventure 180 takes on the fight of one of the most competitive segments – the entry-level performance oriented category. The premium 180cc motorcycle from TVS comes with added performance and dynamics over the common breed of 150-160cc motorcycles, thanks to a bigger engine and sharper chassis setup. The TVS Apache Xventure 180 is priced at PHP 64,900, and is being offered in four color options of black, green, red and white.

TVS Apache Xventure 180 Design

The basic design of the TVS Apache Xventure 180 might be almost half a decade old now, considering the fact that it was first launched in India back in 2014. However, even today, the design of the Apache Xventure 180 looks fresh, thanks to the aggressiveness in the overall design theme.

At the front, the TVS Apache Xventure 180 comes with a very sharp and ‘in-your-face’ front headlamp, which is surrounded by an aggressive looking fairing and eyebrow-shaped LEDs on its upper corners. The clear lens turn indicators, as well as a pointy tinted front visor, give it a premium look.

The fuel tank on the Apache Xventure 180 is long and wide, with sharply designed knee recesses and pointy ends to go well with the overall aggressive theme in its design.  In this Xventure edition, TVS added some bold and loud graphics on the fuel tank, tank extensions, and engine cowl placed ahead of the engine, making it look very sporty. The matte black finished side body cowls and aluminum footpegs look premium as well.

At the rear, the TVS Apache Xventure 180 comes with a nice and premium looking full LED tail light, premium looking rear fender and split pillion grab rails. The part digital instrument console with an analog tachometer and LCD panel displaying speedometer, odometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, clock, and lap timer looks modern too. Adding more sportiness to the overall design are the split handlebars, pointy rear view mirrors and premium switchgear with the engine kill switch.

Apache Xventure 180 Ride & Handling

The previous iterations of the TVS Apache have created quite a reputation for themselves for being the most dynamic motorcycles to ride when compared to their respective rivals. The Apache Xventure 180 is no exception as well, as it comes with the same hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and gas charged coil springs at the rear.

We would have loved to see a monoshock at the rear, but these gas-charged units at the rear too are fine-tuned to make the motorcycle feel sharp, especially around corners. However, the sharpness in its riding dynamics has an after-effect of a slightly stiff ride quality, which might be a downer when ridden for long distances. The petal disc brake setup at both the ends feel very sharp, however, the presence of ABS here would have made the feedback even better.

TVS Apache Xventure 180 Engine & Fuel Consumption

The TVS Apache Xventure 180 comes with a four-stroke, single- cylinder, air-cooled, carbureted, 177.4cc engine. Basically, a bored out version of the engine of the Apache RTR 160, the engine on the Apache Xventure 180 produces a maximum power output of 17.2PS and a peak torque output of 15.5Nm.

Coupled to a five-speed gearbox, the engine has a good amount of power throughout the rev range. However, the engine sounds a bit gruff in higher revs, with vibrations creeping in through foot pegs.

Apache Xventure 180 Braking & Safety

While the Indian spec Apache RTR 180 comes with a single channel ABS, this Indonesian spec Apache Xventure 180, even with bolder graphics, misses out on the presence of ABS. However, the petal disc brakes at both the ends try hard to mask its absence.

TVS Apache Xventure 180 Verdict

With premium and sharp looks, the TVS Apache Xventure 180 manages to look sporty and fresh even after the fact that its overall design is almost half a decade old now. The Apaches have already been known for their outright performance and precise riding dynamics, the traits which have been well preserved in the Apache Xventure 180 as well. However, we would have loved to see TVS raising its benchmarks a bit higher by equipping it with a rear monoshock and ABS.
