2015 Frankfurt Motor Show: Audi Reveals all-new S4

MANILA: Last June, Audi introduced its 2016 A4 and now it has officially revealed the all-new S4 at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The company claims that the 2016 S4 will come with a new sporty lightweight design, a more powerful engine and technically advanced utilities.

The 2016 S4 is close enough to the regular A4 in design outline and it carries minor exterior re-profiling such as new grill along with decent 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/40 tires. It also comes with optional 19-inch alloys. The aluminum side mirrors, trunk-mounted spoiler, quad exhausts and S-specific rear bumper add an extra star to the exterior.

Inside the S4 is the seats that are upholstered with premium upholstery using Nappa and Alcantara leather. The door trims come with the S4 logo brushed with aluminum finish. The dashboard gets an optional 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Under the hood lies a new turbocharged 3.0-litre TFSI V6 that churns out peak power of 354 PS and 500 Nm of peak torque, upgraded and tuned engine eclipses the previous power output figures of 333 PS and 440 Nm. Apart from delivering more power, the new TFSI engine is light weight and fuel efficient.

The Power is transmitted to all four wheels through Audi's Quattro AWD system which is equipped with self-locking differential. The system optimizes 60% of the torque to the rear wheels. If needed, around 70% of torque can be transferred to the front axle. The AWD system works efficiently with the 8-speed tiptronic gearbox that facilitates faster gear shifts.

Additionally, the new 2016 Audi S4 include: LED matrix headlights, heads-up display, and a tailgate sensor.
