2016 Jaguar XJ Gets Additional Dose of Luxury!

MANILA: If you are in the business of luxury, then luxury must be comfortable. The same is reflected by the Jaguar cars, the British car manufacturers which have updated their Jaguar XJ series after 6 years from launch. The brand which is an icon of status and luxury has further fiddled to introduce such features that create more luxury for its lovers.

Visually, XJ received bolder grille with chrome surrounds and air dams, new side sills, side power vents, rear spoiler, full LED headlights and revised graphics for the tail lights. The highlight is the oval tailpipes which make the car more distinctive. The gloss black trim replaces all the chrome and sits on 20 inch Mataivia design. 2016 will also welcome six variants of the upgraded XJ named as Premium Luxury, XJR, R-Sport, Portfolio, and Autobiography. The last two are new additions in the line-up.

On the interior front, the full-size luxury series carry an updated infotainment system called Incontrol Touch Pro which features satellite navigation, Blue tooth connectivity, smartphone app connectivity, and other useful customized options along with 1300 W Meridian Digital audio system with 26 speakers, 17 stereo channels, HDMI jack, USB ports, and 100 GB storage space. The piano black or carbon fiber trim are there along with comfortable sports seats, R-Sport steering wheel, and tread plates.

When the engine comes to picture, the updated XJ series will show the 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine for all the variants except the Autobiography which will be fitted with 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine. Jaguar says that it would offer greater driving dynamics with reduced fuel consumption. It will also include All-Surface Progress Control (ASPC) system for extreme low-traction situations which makes its safety more comprehensive.

It reminds me that luxury does not come for free and especially when it is there in almost every detail. So the Filipinos should keep their savings intact to buy this pinnacle of opulence.
