2016 Toyota Fortuner: Variant-wise Price revealed

MANILA: 2016 Toyota Fortuner is all set to put its wheel marks on the Philippines shores. There’s lot of expectations from the new Fortuner. The authorised Toyota dealers can’t hold the excitement for too long, so they’ve revealed the 2016 Fortuner price ahead of its scheduled showcase on January, 14, 2016. The new 2016 Fortuner was recently launched in the Thailand market and eventually received a good applause from the auto enthusiasts. The overall build quality and safety features are upmarket. The automaker has tried to provide luxury features of a sedan covered by a bold SUV body. Fortuner has gone through several tweaks since its first debut in 2006, and it holds a good resale value in the global market as well.

This time, the new Fortuner is available in three engine choices including two diesel trims and one gasoline trim. The 2016 Fortuner specs boasts 2.7-litre 4-cylinder dual VVT-i gasoline powermill that delivers a maximum power output of 166 PS and a peak torque of 245 Nm. Meanwhile, the 2.4-litre diesel engine churns out a maximum power output of 150 PS and a peak torque of 400 Nm, whereas the 2.8-litre delivers 177 PS of maximum power with a peak torque of 450 Nm. The Toyota Fortuner variants will be available in either 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission. As of now, the prices confirmed by the dealers are:

Looking to the price range of the 2016 Fortuner, it appears highly acceptable and valid in this heating SUV segment market. Toyota is one of the most trusted brand in the country since years and thus, the automaker is dedicated to manufacture vehicles as per the buyer’s need. Moreover, the SUV is likely to compete with the 2016 Mitsubishi Montero sport, but the effective price counterpart may allow Toyota to grab the SUV segment. Both the models share multiple similarities, but Toyota comes with own class and value added features. Fortuner has also received enormous upvoted on the safety section as the passenger safety has always been Toyota’s priority.
