Aston Matin Valhalla to make Goodwood FOS hill climb debut

MANILA: The Aston Martin Valhalla will participate in the iconic hill climb segment of the upcoming 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Per the British luxury auto marque, its highly-anticipated run will mark the nameplate’s dynamic debut in the annual auto festival. It will also be the first time the Aston Martin Valhalla will be seen in the United Kingdom (UK) in public.

“Valhalla delivers the most driver-focused, technologically advanced supercar with true hypercar performance and yet on the road it is as usable and enjoyable as any Aston Martin,” the Gaydon-headquartered carmaker said in a press release.

“Presented in a bespoke Q by Aston Martin specification, this is the first time Valhalla will be seen by the UK public, outside of static display. Having made its global dynamic debut at the Monaco F1 Grand Prix in May, driven by Aston Martin Aramco Formula One team driver and two-time Formula One World Champion, Fernando Alonso, Valhalla is sure to capture the crowds attention, with its fusion of Formula 1 performance-driven technologies and cutting-edge design,” it added.

Aston Martin Valhalla quick facts

• The Aston Martin Valhalla is the brand’s first-ever, mid-engine plug-in hybrid supercar
• It is inspired by the Aston Martin Valkyrie and was infused with Formula 1 technologies
• The Aston Martin Valhalla is limited to only 999 samples
• It is able to dish out a maximum power output of 1064 horses
• It can go from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 2.5 seconds
• The top speed of the Aston Martin Valhalla is 350 kph
• The Aston Martin Valhalla has three electric motors (two on front axle, one on rear axle integrated with the transmission)

Other Aston Martin cars at the Goodwood FOS

The Aston Martin Valkyrie — which made its first appearance in the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2021 — will be making a return to the automotive gathering.

It will likewise be taking a shot at the famous hill climb and showcase what a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine can do.

Further the Aston Martin DB12 Volante and Vanquish Volante — both celebrating a model lineage dating back some 60 years — will grace the Supercar Paddock with their presence.

Also, the Aston Martin DBX S will be present in the Goodwood Festival of Speed’s First Glance Paddock. The model sees the return of the “S” performance nomenclature and takes the DBX 707’s 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine to produce some 717 horsepower with 900 Newton-meters of torque.

To note, the Aston Martin DBX 707 is available here in the Philippines with a price tag of P33.5 million.

The 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed is scheduled to take place from July 10 until July 13.
