Ayala Malls Manila Bay introduces worry-free, 'intelligent' parking

MANILA: Parking should no longer be challenging for motorists, thanks to the Intelligent Parking System of Ayala Malls Manila Bay, the largest Ayala Mall in the country.

This is considered the first and most innovative parking system in the Philippines that will provide a safer and better mall experience for everyone.

This advanced system features the most recent technology so that car owners do not have to struggle about remembering where they left their vehicles,  even if they tend to misplace their parking cards.

The Ayala Malls Intelligent Parking System, which is based on the technology that was utilized at the Jewel Changi Airport of Singapore, boasts convenience, security, and a contactless approach.

The NEXPA System Co., Ltd, a Korea-based global leader with an expertise on smart parking, is the main developer of the Intelligent Parking System, making this innovation more accessible in Manila through Ubitechnology.

Mall visits are expected to be worry-free and convenient because the cutting-edge Intelligent Parking System takes pride in its three key features, namely, digital and cardless wallet options, the Find My Vehicle feature, and real-time monitoring.

Through the Intelligent Parking System, shoppers do not have to worry about parking cards since its cardless system helps reduce the risk of viral transmission through physical contact.

The parking system uses artificial intelligence (AI) to detect the plate number of vehicles upon entering the mall parking area, and instantly raises the boom barrier. When a shopper leaves the mall premises, customers can go to the Parking Pay Stations (PPS), which are conveniently placed at all parking exit and entrance sites.

At the PPS, customers are required to enter the last four digits of the license plate of their vehicle and click on their vehicle type for registration before they are provided with payment methods.

For cash transactions, the PPS accepts P20, P50, and P100 pieces, aside from P1, P5, and P10 coins.

Cashless transactions can also be done through the Gcash or BPI QR code. After completing the transaction, the PPS will provide an official receipt that confirms payment for the parking space and that the boom barrier will be lifted immediately upon exit.

The cardless system also provides ease when leaving the parking lot and people can also exit without lining up to pay for a parking card.

On top of processing payments, the PPS also functions as a directory that provides directions to the escalators, stairs, restrooms, and elevators around the mall.

Aside from this, every station also has a Help Center button that leads customers to the PPS Command Center and helps them talk to a customer support representative if in case they have parking concerns.

The Find My Vehicle feature, on the other hand, enables customers to remember only the last four digits of their license plate number so that they will not go through the trouble of finding the spot where they parked their vehicle.

They can click on this feature on the PPS and type their plate number so that they will be provided with directions of their vehicle’s specific location.

The Intelligent Parking System of Ayala Malls also offers CCTV coverage and additional security cameras to guarantee the security and safety of vehicles.

The parking lot of the mall also has noticeable LED indicator guides at the entrance around the parking lot. Detectors can instantly determine the vehicle of the customer and the UNI-Directional IP camera sensors offer a more vivid and blind spot-free shot of the area.

In the future, there will be more features that will be introduced, especially with the debut of Zing, the completely digital loyalty program and mobile app of Ayala Malls that is targeted towards providing a unique shopping experience for customers.

Zing is equipped with numerous features that make it an ideal in-mall app partner while providing the ease of online shopping through the online ordering system and virtual mall.

It also provides a more seamless parking experience since shoppers can look for available parking areas and pay in advance for them through their mobile phones.

The world-class Intelligent Parking System offers efficient parking solutions to different institutions and businesses in Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

Ayala Malls President Jennylle Tupaz said, “Ayala Malls believes in the power of technology to help Filipinos adjust to the new normal with safety and in relative comfort. As they make their essential trips to the mall, we hope that they find their Ayala Malls experience safer and more convenient with the cardless and contactless ease that the Intelligent Parking System brings.”
