BAIC PH to open 3 dealerships

MANILA: BAIC Philippines — under the stewardship of United Asia Automotive Group, Incorporated — is set to open three new dealerships with MG Gateway Mantrade Corporation.

The two firms inked their partnership with a contract signing ceremony held at the carmaker’s flagship showroom in North EDSA (Epifanio de los Santos Avenue). 

“Gateway Group coming on board tells us the demand is real, and we’d rather grow where people are already asking for us than get ahead of ourselves,” BAIC Philippines Brand Head Timothy Sytin was quoted as saying.

“Each new location is one more place a Filipino can get to know BAIC up close, and that's what keeps this moving,” he added.

Per BAIC Philippines, the said alliance between the automotive industry players marks a major step in the company’s expansion.

Strategic showrooms

Under Gateway Group, BAIIC Philippines will grow its reach with dealerships in strategic locations, namely in Manila Bay, Taguig, and Matina, Davao.

The said upcoming locations are expected to strengthen BAIC’s footprint in key urban and regional markets while making the brand more accessible to a wider range of Filipino customers. 

“The upcoming dealership openings in Manila Bay, BGC Taguig, and Matina, Davao are expected to contribute significantly to BAIC Philippines’ long-term growth strategy while supporting the increasing demand for technologically advanced and electrified mobility solutions in the country,” BAIC Philippines wrote in a press release.

Shared vision

BAIC Philippines added that the partnership between the two companies also reflects the growing commitment of both organizations toward the continued electrification of mobility in the Philippines.

As consumer demand steadily shifts toward modern and sustainable transportation, BAIC Philippines and Gateway Group aim to support the market’s transition through the introduction and expansion of hybrid, electric, and new energy vehicle offerings. 

Currently, the brand’s lineup consists of the BAIC B30e Dune Hybrid, B40e Trailmaster rEV, B60 Beaumont Diesel Hybrid, and B60e Beaumont rEV, which represent the brand’s push toward electrified mobility solutions in the local market.

“The collaboration reinforces BAIC Philippines’ direction of bringing globally competitive new-energy SUVs to the local market while strengthening dealership accessibility, customer experience, and aftersales support nationwide,” BAIC Philippines said in a press statement.

“The addition of Gateway Group further strengthens BAIC Philippines’ growing dealer network as the brand continues to build momentum in the country’s highly competitive automotive industry. Through strategic partnerships and continued expansion, BAIC Philippines continues to position itself as an emerging player in the modern mobility and new energy vehicle segment,” it added.
