BYD Cars PH to unveil new offerings in H2 2024

MANILA: BYD Cars Philippines is set to launch new offerings within the second half of 2024.

The announcement was made by ACMobility Head of Automotive Retail and Distribution Antonio Zara III during a press conference Monday.

Although he did not share the specifics about the upcoming models, Zara shared hints such as it was “one of the vehicles available during last year’s trip to Zhuhai, China” and is eyed to have an around P1-million pricing.

“The target price is below P1 million… Maybe that’s one of the vehicles you drove in China,” he told Zigwheels Philippines.

Among those that were at the test drive site were the Seagull and Seal.

Relatively smaller compared to the Atto 3 (the brand’s best-selling model in the country), BYD Seagull is a compact hatchback that features the e-Platform 3.0. It also has the innovative Blade batteries that gives the vehicle range of as much as 380 kilometers of range (based on New European Driving Cycle standards).

Aside from that, the aforementioned model also has BYD’s intelligent cockpit system and a 10.1-inch adaptive rotating screen.

Meanwhile, the BYD Seal is an electrified sedan that also boasts the marque’s e-Platform 3.0 and the cell-to-body technology. The said car has a pure electric cruising range of up to 520 km under Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Cycles conditions.

Without confirming whether the said models will be offered to the Philippine market, Zara announced that ACMobility will launch a BYD model on July 25.

He was quick to clarify that the hint he gave about the pricing was not about the model to be introduced on the said date.
