BYD to establish 100-dealer strong network in PH this 2026?

MANILA: Is BYD planning to reach the 100-dealer milestone in the Philippines?

Such a speculation arose after the ACMobility subsidiary inaugurated seven dealerships across key areas of the country for the Chinese automaker. 

In a statement, BYD Cars Philippines said that the string of launches during the second quarter of 2026 reflected its commitment to “making pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles accessible and convenient for the everyday Filipino driver.”

Aside from making vehicle ownership more convenient for customers, the expansion will also focus on providing top-notch customer care with specialized service standards across all its facilities. 

“Our focus goes far beyond simply offering great new energy vehicles. We are dedicated to making electric ownership attainable through our expansive dealership network nationwide,” BYD Cars Philippines Managing Director Bob Palanca was quoted as saying.

“These new facilities reflect a promise to support our customers at every single step of their electric vehicle journey, ensuring that making the switch is easy and driving electric becomes a practical reality in everyday life.”

Prior to the announcement, BYD Cars Philippines noted that it had 81 dealerships in the country—with the seven new locations already included in the count. With six months still left in the year, the number could grow to 100.

Should this happen, BYD might have the biggest dealer network locally, overtaking Toyota in the process.

New locations

In Metro Manila, BYD opened two dealerships, specifically in Valenzuela and Manila.

Situated across from SM City Valenzuela, BYD Valenzuela serves as the brand’s largest dealership in the National Capital Region. Aside from having a showroom, the establishment has a service area with 11 bays. 

Meanwhile, BYD Otis features two facilities for current and future BYD owners. Its dedicated showroom houses BYD’s latest products, while the 10-bay service center is located nearby to provide reliable service.

In Southern Luzon, BYD solidified its presence by opening a dealership in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Expanding the marque’s dealership network in Region 4-A (and marking its third dealership in Cavite), the newly opened facility has six bays.

Additionally, the company also opened BYD Angeles. The brand’s 10th facility in Central Luzon and the third in Pampanga, the dealership features a 12-bay service center and is located near the Clark Freeport Zone.

Tapping the market further up north, BYD inaugurated two dealerships: BYD La Union and BYD Rosario. 

BYD La Union serves as a premier full-service facility in the province, offering an integrated customer experience from vehicle sales to aftersales service, maintenance, and charging under one roof. Meanwhile, the Rosario branch—strategically located at the Seaoil gas station—boosts local visibility within the region.

Lastly, the firm boosted its presence in Mindanao with the launch of BYD Zamboanga.

The brand’s first dealership in the city and its second in the Zamboanga Peninsula, the six-bay facility provides closer, more accessible EV sales and aftersales services for the Western Mindanao market.
