CCLEX Drive and Dine to open in mid 2024

A new commercial establishment will soon rise along the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX).

The CCLEX Drive and Dine will be a 5,580 square-meter, three-storey food hub that is targeted to open in the middle of 2024.

“We are very excited about this new additional development in CCLEX. The mission has always been to create a better travel experience for motorists and travelers in Cebu, and CCLEX Drive and Dine is the next big step to improving it further,” Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) President and General Manager and MPT Mobility Regional Head Allan Alfon said.

Aside from Alfon, the groundbreaking ceremony for the CCLEX Drive and Dine were led by Cordova Mayor Cesar Suan, Acting Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) President and Chief Executive Officer Rogelio Singson, MPT Mobility Director Rodrigo Franco, and MPT Mobility Division Head for Motorway Commercial Facilities Renie Ticzon.

The CCLEX Drive and Dine — similar to the MPT Mobility’s facility located along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) called NLEX Drive and Dine — will have numerous food and service partners.

The upcoming facility is eyed to become a dining destination, contribute to the dining culture in Metro Cebu, and offer a breathtaking view of the Mactan and Cordova Channels.

“The [original idea> was to make a service facility more than simply functional, and the overwhelmingly positive response tells us that we are on the right track in building something that would enrich the current experience and create a whole new dimension of it in the process,” Ticzon said. “The first concept informed us of what is possible.”

While creating a one-stop-shop lifestyle hub is the end goal, the group is also looking to enhance the overall customer experience. The theme of the company’s work over the past few years has centered on customer experience as an essential component of the long-term vision of Smart Urban Mobility, a concept that has received good feedback in this region in particular.
