    Isuzu LCVs in PH

Isuzu’s light-commercial products have a decent following in the Philippines.

On top of serving as a workhorse, some car buyers use the pickup truck as a lifestyle vehicle. As such, it has become a fixture in the Philippine Rallycross Series, with the carmaker’s local wing entering into partnership agreements with the organization.

In addition, some customers praise its advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS), which we at Zigwheels Philippines have tested ourselves. You can check our 2025 Isuzu D-Max LSE 4x4 real-life ADAS video testing below:

    Isuzu D-Max specifications

In the Philippines, the Isuzu D-Max can be powered by either the 1.9-liter RZ4E diesel engine that makes around 147 horsepower (hp) and 350 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque; or the 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX diesel mill that generates 187 horses and 450 Nm.

New to the pickup truck is its front grille, which retains its three-slot design at the top but combines a new meshwork for a refined, rugged aesthetic that commands attention and reinforces its strong on-road presence.

Notable, too, are its new 18-inch Dark Gray alloy wheels, designed for both style and function. The wheels work well with its extended side step, which runs end-to-end to provide a wider, more accessible stepping area while reinforcing the pickup truck’s rugged and commanding presence.

Further, the current iteration of the model packs a new high-definition around-view monitor with underbody view for added awareness and confidence when navigating challenging roads and maneuvering in tight spaces.

    Isuzu mu-X specifications

Touted as a more passenger-oriented model locally, the Isuzu mu-X is fitted with appointments attuned more for family use, like the aforementioned 360-degree-view monitor and digital video recorder.

For added convenience, it also gets a new wireless charger, new wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional style is provided by a new all-black interior with ambient lighting in the cabin.

Outside is a bold, new radiator grille in Black Titanium Carbide Material (with new fog lamp bezels and air curtains). It also gets a new, smart power tailgate (with step sensor and jam protection system), a set of new 20-inch alloy wheels, and signature taillamps.

Making sure it is more than just a mall crawler, it is also equipped with the same powertrain options as its truck stablemate—producing the same number of hp and pulling power.
