Exterior of next-gen Hyundai Accent revealed before launch in Mar.

MANILA: Hyundai India has shown sketches of the brand-new Hyundai Accent — which is slated to be unveiled in March — after issuing a teaser for the vehicle, promising that the final product will resemble the concepts. A big statement considering how much more subdued roadgoing versions are in comparison to sketches.

If that is the case, Hyundai's now-iconic LED strip will span the whole front end of the revamped Accent. Given that the Staria, Kona, Stargazer, and even the Grandeur luxury car have it, it might not be a surprise anymore. The bumper-mounted headlamps, a first in its sector, are equally intriguing.

Hyundai also displayed the 2023 Hyundai Accent's sides. Considering the brand's present design aesthetic, this sedan’s doors, fenders, and quarter panel have angular lines and angles similar to the Tucson. Moreover, it adopts a liftback-like curvature around the back, probably for aerodynamic reasons. Although the car's rear view is not yet available, the rear design elements of the Elantra, Sonata, and Grandeur models are likely to be incorporated here.
