Here's where PUV drivers can use their fuel subsidy cards

MANILA: The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has released the list of the fuel companies where public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers may use their Fuel Subsidy Cards (FSC).

In a Facebook post, LTFRB announced that PUV drivers may use their subsidy in the stations under the following firms:

• Caltex
• Cleanfuel
• Petron
• Phoenix
• Pilipinas Shell
• PTT
• Rephil
• Seaoil
• Total
• Unioil

In line with this, the LTFRB released the guidelines on PUV drivers obtain their FSC.

PUV drivers may get their FSC by visiting their designated Landbank of the Philippines (LBP) branch and submitting the required documents. They must also submit the form with their personal information to their LTFRB Regional Office via email. LBP will then send an confirmation email on when the driver may claim their FSC.

Last week, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM)  approved the release of P3 billion for the Fuel Subsidy Program (FSP).

According to the Department of Transportation, around 1.36 million PUV drivers will receive subsidies under the program. Modern public utility jeepney and modern UV Express drivers will receive 10,000, while their operators will get P6,500. Meanwhile, tricycle drivers will receive P1,000 and delivery riders will get P1,200.

DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said that the funds were granted in accordance with the government's pledge to support the transport industry.
