Honda Prologue EV has anticipated EPA range rating of 482 km

MANILA: American Honda Motor Company Incorporated has announced that the pre-sale activities for the Prologue all-electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) will begin later this year and the deliveries will start in early 2024.

The Honda Prologue comes in three trim levels: EX, Touring, and Elite. The EX and Touring are equipped with a front-mounted single motor, while the Elite comes with an additional motor in the rear, which produces 228 horsepower and 451 Newton-meters of torque.

Honda’s first all-electric SUV is expected to receive an Environmental Protection Agency range rating of 482 kilometers on a full charge. Direct current fast charging is available at rates of  up to 155 kilowatts.

The Honda Prologue was designed by the Honda Design Studio team using virtual reality tools. The result is a minimalist neo-rugged concept.

This electric vehicle (EV) is about eight-inches longer and five-inches wider than the Honda CR-V. It has a 121.8-inch wheelbase, the longest in its class.

A newly designed Honda name badge is introduced in the Prologue, helping to further establish the brand’s EV identity. The Prologue also incorporates e:series badging to align with the Honda’s global EV models.

On the inside, the Honda Prologue is equipped with an 11-inch digital driver instrumentation and an 11.3-inch touchscreen display with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. The Elite model also comes standard with a head-up display.

Google built-in is also standard on the Prologue, making it the first Honda SUV to come with this feature. This includes apps like Google Maps and Google Assistant.

Other interior features include heated front seats, panoramic sunroof with retractable shade, wireless charging, and 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.

The key vehicle computer modules of the Honda Prologue can get quick and secure over-the-air software updates that enhance functionality and capability.

Honda Sensing is also standard on the Prologue. This suite of driver-assistive technologies include rear cross traffic braking, blind zone steering assist, and rear pedestrian alert.
