Is this the next generation Mitsubishi Strada? Mitsubishi XRT Concept teased

MANILA: The Mitsubishi XRT Concept, a concept car for the all-new Mitsubishi Strada scheduled to debut in fiscal year 2023, is displayed at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show until April 2.

The all-new Mitsubishi Strada, the sixth generation of the midsize pickup truck, will undergo its first full redesign in almost nine years. It will be launched in Thailand in fiscal year 2023 and will be rolled out successively in the ASEAN region and other global markets.

The Mitsubishi XRT Concept is distinguished by an aggressive look on the front and a robust hood that extends to the side with striking, horizontally-themed styling. The Mitsubishi XRT Concept is equipped with mud-terrain tires and front and rear overfenders, giving it the strength to compete in arduous rallies and the agility to rush across the terrain. The body has a camouflage pattern that was inspired by lava rocks packed with condensed energy. The sides have been embellished with a graphic of the 10-parallel line Ralliart brand icon, which represents Mitsubishi's passion for driving.

According to Mitsubishi Motors Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Takao Kato, the all-new Mitsubishi Strada is undergoing final touch ups in preparation for its launch. 

“We have performed rigorous endurance tests around the world while also incorporating the know-how gained from rally activities. With the new vehicle launches as the centerpiece, we will continue our drive toward further growth. Please look forward to the future of Mitsubishi Motors,” Kato said.
